Hey everyone My name is Cory and I was a "doc" in the Navy for the Marines for 2 years and my partner was a marine for 8 years and were both kicked out for being gay and now they wont give us any of our benefits including our GI Bill which we paid for. Does anyone know anything we can do....
i was about as openly gay as possible while serving in the air force. my girlfriend and i found ways around policies by living separately with a gay male couple. my flight knew about it, her flight knew about it and everyone was fine with it. i am now finished with my duties and my partner lost her life in '03 due to a roadside bombing outside of baghdad.
I'm so sorry about your girlfriend. Thank you for fighting for our way of life and freedom in the US. Maybe one day - American Gays and Lesbians will be free too....
I am gay, and those men and women who are that protect us shouldnt have to hide, i commend them as a i do all of our troops. Our military, should not be about gay or straight, it should be about the heros that go out there and fight for this country and if anyone sees this and has served or will serve i THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I chose to end my time in the Air Force after 6yrs so that I could life with my partner without having to hide who I was or who he was. I'm happy to say I've now been with him longer than I was in the Air Force we're celebrating 8yrs this year.
In the long term Truth Always Wins and Justice Always Wins. History teaches us that discrimination is wrong. Eventually the ban will be ended and the US will be in line with other western democracies.
I attended the wedding proposal of a two tour Iraq veteran from his gay boyfriend last weekend. Also there was a two tour Iraq & one tour Afghanistan gay veteran. Gays are serving honorably America and the military, but America and the military aren't serving gays honorably.
The James Dobsons of the world will have to concede that the gay people deserve equality the day that gays are allowed to serve openly. This is why the Dobsons of the world don't want to let gays serve. They understand that if one is willing to die for his country one should at least get equal rights.
This is disgusting. I can't believe the HRC wants to strip one of the few benefits of being gay in heteronormative society.

I don't mind gays and lesbians in the military, it's the transsexuals I'm freaked out about.
