I agree. A professional survey is 'always' needed before buying a boat. However, these tips can be used when you first visit the yacht. No need of getting an expensive survey when you can see for yourself a boat isn't good enough. Once you want to move ahead you request a survey.
That is also what we advice. People can simply request a survey through our website in each advert. Based on the location of the yacht the website redirects the survey request to the surveyors closest by the yacht.
Nice video and tips, however my advise is to hire a qualified yachtsurveyor to check the boat properly. In case of defects you have a legal report which can be used to withdraw from the contract / sales agreement or agree a reduction on the sales price in order to repair the defects. In most cases (standard contracts) this will not possible if you do the inspection by yourself as a privat person.
