  • Poor Rachel :(

  • Love this movie! Still cant believe she was in her 20s!!!!

  • Quick question: Whats the significance of the radio bulletins at the beginning?

  • Her mom is the same actress that plays Lexie's mom in Grey's Anatomy!

  • @MegaTravies did you really need caps -_-

  • omg this is this girl from drag me to hell , holy shit she look young af in this movie

  • @brianabella100 I know right?

  • WELL YOU KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH THIS TYPE OF ILLNESS. AND I ALSO THINK THAT THE MEDIA, AS WELL AS PEER PRESSURE. CAN ALSO BE A FACTOR TO THIS ILLNESS. THIS IS A GOOD AND INFORMATIVE MOVIE. IN THIS SYSTEM THAT WE ALL LIVE IN, THERE ARE A LOT OF DIFFERENT PRESSURES AND THINGS OF THIS SYSTEM THAT CAN MAKE GROWNUPS AS WELL AS CHILDREN DEPRESSED AND CAN CAUSE A LOT OF THINGS TO HAPPEN TO US......WE ALL NEED GOD'S KINGDOM---THE ONE WE PRAY FOR IN THE LORDS PRAYER. HALLA!!!

  • @MegaTravies Is your computer broken, because it seems you're stuck on caps lock there, friend.

Movies about eating disorders is no place to push religion, FYI. It's a little insulting.

  • This is my favorite eating disorder movie, but it's really triggering.

  • Estafadores

  • Alison Lohman such a good actress.. she plays this character very well. You can really tell how unhappy she is. god i love this movie

  • I love this movie. This is my favourite ED movie..

  • In every movie that's about a bulimic person they make purging seem very easy, while it's not at all. Even if you have been doing it for years, yes it gets easier but it's still hard.

  • @goingtobemrsjoejonas purging IS in fact very "easy" for some girls (me included:///); I'd say its all about how much water u drink before.

  • Comment removed

  • Sad how Demi lovato did this to her self :(

  • @heylovex3 it's not just Demi lovato who's only doing that, i mean there are girls

far worst then her & this movie tells the story of what can happen.

  • @heylovex3 omg. demi is my life <3

  • I hate the way when she purge it seems so easy and quickly. But its hard. I know because i do it :/

  • The little girls problem is that her father is ignoring her and favoring her step-sister

  • Rachel is so cute :)

  • The one thing I don't like about this movie is how when she purges they make it seem quick and easy. It all comes out with one try. She doesn't get anything on her face or hands or anywhere. It just is a little unrealistic, at least speaking from my experience. Otherwise, I love this movie.

  • So grossed out by her feet...

  • How old was alison in this movie¿

  • eating a whole bag of cookies whilst watching this

  • Emily's father irks the shit out of me! He's so into himself and his new wife and her daughter that his own daughter feels slighted, scared, and left out. Poor girl.....

  • What does that billboard say? At the push of a button it's ....what? I can't read that last word.

  • I was bulimic in my early 20's...I was so skinny it freaks me out now. Sometimes it takes everything in my me not to become what I was. its a very scary place to me. They say its about control...I had never felt more out of control

  • Wow, she was 21!

  • I like glitter :) hahaha

  • @sabri31 yes. She doesn't eat much either besides what she throws up. everytime she needs to eat she doesn't. It seems she's bulimic with hints of anorexia.

  • She was 21? She sounds and looks like she's about 13!

  • Am I the only one that died lauging at the music because I was serious about watching the movie and the song was unexpected @2:29. Then I'm AA so I'm like why haven't I heard this song it's a HIT. I have to find it "Get it girl, Get it girl OOO I like that there" I will be dancing to that in my car if I find it. LOL

  • This girl reminds me of my best friend Melissa, Long hair, and skinny body.

  • When I was at my old middle school, the seventh graders were the only nice smelling people...The sixth and the eighth grade boys--they smelled so bad that it was like they were competing to see who smelled the worst. D: This seems like it will be a very great film...I've never watched a film on anorexia, but a good book for that is THE BEST LITTLE GIRL IN THE WORLD. The book was really good. :)

  • @EliasBlu I just finished watching the movie version of the book, but I was a bit disappointed. It's not horrible, so you should watch it, but the book was really good-one of my faves (The Best Little Girl In the World, that is).

  • okay.. it's not possible that rachel is deaf just bc she is ignoring and "not listening" she can clearly hear perfectly fine.

  • tim matheson is still as hot as ever haha:p

  • I'm anorexic with bulimic tendencies, and despite the fact that I can't relate to this movie as much as I can relate to the ones that center around anorexia, this is probably my favorite eating disorder film.

  • @Kaybug150 its by favorite too. Beth is so deep.

  • I love this movie but they always choose skinny people as bulimics and most bulimics are not thin !!! jesus

  • omg I can't believe she's so old in real life when she did this movie :O wow

  • Best thing about this movie was definitely reading the comments!! Like if u agree.

  • I feel so bad for Rachael. Her father is an ass!!!

  • i dont like how they pick skinny people to play bulimics. most bulimics are on the heavier side

  • @PaintbrushBristles I agree. Bulimics maintain an average or heavier weight. Thats why its hard to know if someone is bulimic bc their body doesnt usually get skinny.

  • @Bittersweet21222 so true i met someone who was bulimic but the thing was i was skinnier than her and i'm not anorexic or bulimic

  • @PaintbrushBristles agreed for the most part. There are the other cases where there is a mix between anorexia and bulimia

  • @PaintbrushBristles Well, by looking at her diet, we can see how she'd be skinny. She eats nothing but chocolate and salad from what we see, and she is pretty advanced so she probably throws everything up she can. Idk. Some bulimics are skinny and some aren't.

  • @PaintbrushBristles THANK YOU!!!!!

  • @PaintbrushBristles: That's so true! Finally, someone smart who understands! :D

  • @PaintbrushBristles yeah, or at least they're average weight.

  • @PaintbrushBristles Guess it's because most people don't seem to take E.D's seriously unless you're thin/underweight.

  • @PaintbrushBristles not always true

  • @WhereWeBelong92 uhhh yea thats why i said most not all.

  • @PaintbrushBristles usually they are of normal weight, yes, and some can be heavier aswell, but in more than thought cases, they are actually underweight. weight shouldnt matter whatsoever in any of the eating disorders, they are mental health illnesses and whatever weight you are, you can die. over, normal, under. ------

  • @PaintbrushBristles ----- you can be malnourished at any weight. you can develop kidney, heart, organ failure at any weight. you can have a heart attack at any weight. anyone who thinks you have to be deadly thin to be at risk are extremely wrong. this isnt just directed at you, in general. my opinion just flooded on the topic of weight, so dont take this personally.

  • @WhereWeBelong92 you are correct =]

  • @PaintbrushBristles well yes, but i think that they want to show that they're doing it for a longer time,

  • @PaintbrushBristles At least "Kate's Secret" got it (partially) right in that respect, though, not to reveal too much in case no one's ever seen that particular ED movie.

  • @SitaraVandom I don't really like Kate's Secret as much. I really like this one and Hunger Point

  • @PaintbrushBristles that's totally true... my best friend is bulimic for about 7 years and she look completely ordinary, like 90% girls on street, in school...

  • @PaintbrushBristles I completely agree. Most aren't.. and tbh it makes it look like the answer

  • @PaintbrushBristles Actually most bulimics are of average weight.

  • @HRKD yea I know. I just meant they aren't skin and bones usually

  • wow.. that plate of food in the beginning looks good.

  • It doesn't help that the girl is enviably pretty and skinny, haha.

  • literally my fav movie ever watched it so many times

  • This is so damn hard to watch

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else notice how hard the little girl is coloring at 8:21 - 8:57? She's carrying so much anger...

  • Rachel is adorable.

  • god the mother eats soo nosily it pisses me off

  • @MissBettyBoop98 I'm gladddd I'm not the only one that sees that!

  • @kellybelly4124 hahah really? i thought i was the only one :P (high five)

  • The girl playing Rachel played in Young the Restless and Sharon's daughter "Cassie"

  • Rachel fits to be her daughter

  • ugly feet

  • is this the movie about the book called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne?? i need to know.. thankss!!

  • @corycoro no this movie is about eating disorders specifically bulimia and the book is about laws of attraction, not to mention this is a made for tv movie made in 2000. and the movie you are talking about was made in 2006.

  • @aryclises okk!! thanks for your answer!!!

  • 5:09 AMBER ROSE!!!!!!

  • this movie is way more realistic on cutting than anything else out there

  • it's her clothes and especially her hair make her look so young

  • her hair <3

  • rachel's dad is soo hot :p

  • Is it just me or are these movies incredibly triggering?

  • @NeeeeverMind it is but i love it so much /: ugggh

  • @NeeeeverMind very much!!!!!

  • @NeeeeverMind VERY :-S x

  • @NeeeeverMind I know right! If we throw up what we eat we will look as skinny and beautiful as beth. Very tempting

  • @NeeeeverMind Probably why it's got so many views. I know that's why I personally watch these movies.

  • Comment removed

  • I love this movie! idk which i love more, this or The Best Little Girl in the World. I think this!

  • THIS IS THE BEST eating disorder story movie EVVVERRR

  • no way she was really 20. wow nd she was hangin with a kid hu hadnt evn gon thru puberty yet. dats incredible

  • That black kid is adorable :)

  • Is there a book to this movie that was either made prior to or after or even based off this movie? pleasepleaseplease :)???

  • There is no way she could be in her 20s

  • in her twenties? damn.. i thought i looked young for my age lol

  • LMAO 5:10 <3

  • SHE WAS 21?

    Wow.

  • wow...it's from 2000 ? i am watching this in 2011 ! lol

  • alison lohman is so beautiful!

  • alison lohman was twenty one in this movie she looks like she is 13 years old in middle school so if she was in drag me to hell she had to be like 30.

  • what the hell is this? I was looking for the law of attraction

  • @FaidleyEthan LOL

  • @FaidleyEthan Thats "the Secret"

    lol

  • Lmfao @ 5:10. I have tears in my eyes.

Wait this movie is about bulimia? Fuck I thought I was watching a movie about anorexia.

  • Ugh, don't tell me that tiny little girl develops an eating disorder. I don't mean to critique anyone with anorexia, but 11 year olds? Please. You haven't even developed yet! At least wait until you are 13

  • @Yellow4494 they're more like 14... they're in 8th grade

  • @Yellow4494 I think she's supposed to be a teenager... And seriously? You don't choose when or if you get an eating disorder (sure you choose to do the things that lead to a disorder but you don't choose to get a full-blown disorder).

  • @Yellow4494 You say that like developing an eating disorder is a "choice". Its a mental illness that can be prevented if the signs are caught early. Some people dont even realize they have one until they are in over their heads.

  • @ponalu123 yes, except that the numbers of people with EDs ballooned in my generation (i am in my early 30s) & people at my high school frequently spoke openly of their EDs with pride, which i found both obnoxious & idiotic. these were often intelligent people too, at least from an IQ standpoint. i grant you there is definitely a mental aspect to it, but there does seem to be a group of people who do it to fit in or for less extreme weight loss & dont end up in death or lifetime movies

  • im confused whats this movie about

  • @JenniferKarinax3 a girl's struggle with an eating disorder

  • Food is the drug i cannot resist. They call me Jellybelly at work. Doh!

  • for some reason im obsessed with this movie. and i don't even have an eating disorder. hmm..

that girl is just so real.

  • @Woofers617

    me too!

  • 5:10 LOL

  • @SpeltThisrong LMFAO!

  • how old was the girl supposed to be in this.

  • @TheSxcbiatch 14 but wat amazed me was alison lohman was 21 at the time she looks so young!

  • I'm telling you...having an eating disorder (if you're a girl) makes you so lez. Because you are CONSTANTLY oggling asses left and right.

  • @dhsarah wow. I have never heard that before..

  • Alison is an amazing actress

  • I mean IN this movie :)

  • This girl/Alison Lohman is this movie reminds me of Ali Michael. Nice... :)

  • So I could not throw up using my fingers before and after I watched this movie, I learned the toothbrush trick thats in a later scene and that's the only way I can do it now...

  • @vscheyer13 I barely have a gag reflex at all. You're lucky you can even use a toothbrush. Sometimes I'm afraid I'm going to put a hole in my throat

  • @vscheyer13 i can only do it with to fingers,of if ive bunhegd on somethinm like alot of ice cream an water, ect then i just push in my stomack.....i coukld never stick a toothbrush down my throat

  • Is the little black boy Corbin Bleu?

  • @MsSilentsiren Nah, that's not Corbin. His name is Julius Ritter.

  • this movie always makes me cry,

  • <333 allison lohman is amazing in emotional movies

  • the girl in this is sooo gorgeous!! I love her hair

  • i love this movie and i can relate to it

  • once you understand the subtle but in your face mind and societal instillment of outlook ,in other words mind directives of the hollywood liars it is all too obviuos and becomes hopefully null and void if possible.is this about bulimia?

  • To think Alison Lohman was in her twenties when she did this film.

  • @Sperrazzajel yeah she was 21 !

  • I love this movie. I think it portrays Bulimia in a very realistic way, for the most part, and I love Alison Lohman. She does an amazing job in this movie

  • @lilianp93 I know....me too :S

  • @lilianp93 I jn

  • What is that one movie about a girl who wants to be a model and I think she is a cheerleader who has bulimia? Her parents find out and there is one scene where she runs into the woods and purges?

  • @vscheyer13 i think that's the secret life of mary margaret. or secret life of a bulimic. something like that. ive watched it on youtube

  • @vscheyer13 'Secret Life of Mary Margaret' I think :)

  • she is definitely in Drag Me To Hell

  • @hmlm18 that is herrrrrrrrr omg lol

  • I also think I´m fat but others are telling me I´m not, does that mean I have some kind of an "dosordered mind" ?? :-/

  • @lilianp93 i have wtached this movie soooooooooooo mannnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyy times too its so good and it helps me 2 and it helps understands more about what others are going through.

  • I've watched this movie about 9849805 times. It really made me understand more of what i was going through at that time. And in some weird way, it also helped me to get out of it. I've had bulimia for three yrs, starting when i was about 11. No one knew about it then, and no one knows about it now. but i'm 14 & perfectly fine. I got out of it all by myself, with no help. It took ALOT of willpower, but it's possible, and if I could do it you could do it . Good luck everyone :]

  • Want real secrets? Well, note that the human body is nothing more than a complex circuit with sensors in the mind, spinal cord, and throughout the body. Note that it is a circuit. This means a circuit can be disturbed AT WILL remotely because it is not shielded just like computers, radios, and phones. Imagine how many people are being disturbed, synthesized to have problems or be sick everyday??? Scary! This means thoughts and actions can be probe and manipulated just like a cell phone...

  • obese people have a food disorder as well. Lots of times they wont admit it; but they take all aggression out by eating; its in the same category as anorexia and bulimia

  • @SUNMAYDEN518 binge eating disorder? some do have a food obsession and it is a problem. they eat to avoid things just like bulimics or anorexics restrict, binge, or purge to avoid ther feelings

  • @coolysteph thats very right, thank you :)

  • @ClythiaMystica aww ur welcome:)..

  • @SUNMAYDEN518 you are right. Bulimics have the same issue...well that's how I started. I went from a size 4 to a size 10 because I used food as a comfort from my family problems. Although even as a 4 I thought I was fat, I did not purge til I got to a size 10. It is like a high.

  • eww so she isnt even chubby.she is skinny but then again a lot of kids who are skinny think they are fat.its really a terrible disorder people have.

  • i love this movie so much!

  • I thought she was really 14 when she did this. But when I looked it up she was was 21!!!

  • @Taygal678 Wait she'd 21 in this movie?!

  • @shimmeringstarlight1 The reason she is probably staring is because she is thinking "if i dont purge all my food up i will look like those fattys"

  • is that marissa's little sister in the OC?

  • Rachel's dad is not fit for fatherhood at all! he doesn't know how to make her happy.

  • edward is sooo sweeeeet :)

  • Why does she keep staring at everybody like that!? It is starting to creep me out, especially, when she was looking at those women's butts! ---> WTF!
