The iPhone shits all over this heap of trash. With it's minimal storage (before expansion), laggy responses, and lame camera. Not to mention that the Hero is one of the weakest phones from Android. More akin to the T-Mobile mytouch. ::GAG::Try downloading certain apps on the Hero. It's not even compatible. They should have just kept this "rubbish" in the U.K.

Team iPhone. Get you one. ;)

Its a very good phone. I have had some phones and this is by far the best. Android market has also grown a lot so lots of apps and some really good ones (google sky!) and 95% of them are free.

The screen is nowhere near as responsive as the iPhone or iPod touch, that's just lies. I have a hero and I don't like it much at all. Typing on the touchscreen is fiddly too and the Bluetooth never works. It can make phonecalls tho which is something I guess. Get an iPhone......wish I had.

expandable to 32g not 2g which makes it good for music and movies - providing you have a charger to hand.

USB charger so a USB battery backup is easily used if out and about.

Also, a mini usb fits and charges the HERO, the shape of the charger end is merely just a different shape, mini usb fits right in and charges fine!

Most unusable phone I have ever seen. Everything is choppy - From the dashboard to the internet browser. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING runs choppy. Choppy choppy choppy. Music, video, BASIC SYSTEM MENUS, *everything* is choppy.

Oh, and the headphone jack doesn't fucking work unless you download some obscure addon that isn't even in the marketplace.

Not mine. And I found several forums discussing the exact same problem, so it seems to affect a sizable portion of the devices. I had to install a "Headset Toggle Widget" as a workaround.

There was an update in September that made it very fast. No lag anymore. BTW the Hero will reveive an update to the Adroid 2.1 soon that will make it even better.
