  • Why would you even waste your time with 8 p.s.i.? Why not just get .20 forged pistons some head work and put a decent turbo on? Props by the way, still cool as shit I have a 95 Sl2 I want to go turbo with too. Nice vid.

  • what springs are you running? it sits nice and low

  • hey what is the highest psi on a torbo to put on my 94saturn sl2 without changing anithyng inside the engine

  • @ivanhm100 i wouldnt go over 8 if that i would run 6-7

  • saw you at H20i over the weekend, and saw ur thread on vw vortex. do you wanna sell the car? i can tow it from ny to my house...or id consider buying the ecu and turbo kit...i got a 1993 sl2 with 380k miles lol...runs great. my other ride is a 87 rx7 but im pretty sure ur saturn would smoke it (would've*) sorry to hear the bad news :/

  • I will not exceed 200HP do i need to change injectors and Fuel pump ?

  • @TerminatorSony Injectors need to be larger and tuned with something (ie. Megasquirt), fuel pump is fine to 200whp. Much more (250+) and a Walbro 255 is a good idea.

  • whats the hp

  • Hey nice video. I need help, i got a 1997 saturn sc2 twin cam and i always wanted 2 make it turbo. Can you tell me how 2 make it turbo?

  • i have the same car and im planning to take out the manfoild because it look all like rushed and then i would need to just the exasted pipes and muffler

  • @SPIDERMAN2015 if its just the rusty look that bothers you, yank it out, sand it with 60 grit sandpaper, wash it off, then paint it with high temp primer and paint. i personally think it looks great silver

  • how much horsepower and torque?

  • 185/187

  • I thought about this for my 2002, but then I just got a CBr600RR 07, much cheaper/faster!

  • I also have a '06 CBRF4i, ran a 11.8 with that in the quarter, but at 15psi I just have more fun in the Saturn. The work that I've put into it, the reactions I get, and some of the cars it beats all make it worth the effort/money.

  • @d3ad1ysp0rk

    No doubt, it looks fun!

  • yo i have the same model car what kind of engine did you install and also did you put air in take

  • This was a stock motor (rods/pistons/cams/etc) with a turbo setup.. this is not something that can be bought and bolted up easy from a store, you need to source each part and design it correctly. It took me a year of reading before I was close to ready to buy parts, and even then I made some mistakes.

  • will the set up work for a rebuilt Engine 250K? planning to install Stage 2 Clutch with Lightweight Flywheel. So all i need is Turbo Manifold+downpipe, T3 Turbo with Wastegate @8PSI, BOV and Silicone hoses intake + oil lines My Set up for 2011

  • Yeah it will, what year is your motor? It was built for a 9 bolt motor (99-02) but I've been running it on a 5 bolt motor (91-98) all summer, since I drilled out a few holes and ported out the opening of the runners for the old motor. The manifold, downpipe, turbo and wastegate will be for sale soon if you're interested, just message me.

  • I got a 99 sl1 could I modified the engine ??

  • Yeah, I modified my 99 sl1 from an SOHC to a Dual. If you're good with cars it's actually pretty simple to do it yourself. If not, you'll increase horsepower on your sl1 by just installing a Cold air intake. Prefferably with a K&N filter on the end.

  • no get twin cam then mod

  • i got a 96 too

  • how much did it cost to get that on

    because isnt that custom?

i have a 96 and they said for me to be pulling bout 300 hp it would cost around 6000 because they said it would have to have a custom adapter to attach the turbo to?

if you could help me out at all please let me no thanks for your time

    beast of a car man!!!

  • Unfortunately 300hp is over the limit of the stock motor and clutch. Motor with forged rods, forged pistons, and turbo cams - ~$2000 Turbo manifold & Downpipe - $500-1000 Turbo - $400-1000 Wastegate - $200 BOV - $150 Injectors - $200 Megasquirt - $400 ACT 6 Puck Clutch - $400 Misc work (flywheel resurface, flange welding, exhaust welding, etc) - $200+ Oil lines - $100+ Misc stuff I forgot - $500+
  • And if you don't know how to do it (read read read, so you don't blow your car up) and pay someone, it could cost anywhere from $2000-5000 extra in labor.

  • how much power it put down ?

  • 185whp and about the same in torque.

  • Nice. May not sound like much, but for those light little cars, 185 is awesome!

    I own a '97 SC2

    N/A motor

    Header back -exhaust

CAI (not warm air, a legit cai) intake on it's way. And light suspension mods.

They are great little cars man, glad to see some one else working with them.

  • What was the EXACT tuning program you used and what one from that site did you use?

  • I ran the 034 Motorsport Supplemental Injector Controller with 2 42lb/hr injectors welded into the charge pipe pre-throttle body.

Great as an extra injector system, but the metal intake manifolds are known for their uneven flow, and I'm currently upgrading to an Electromotive TEC GT with 4 96lb/hr injectors in the stock location.

  • why?

4 96lb/hr injectors=1008cc of fuel at an 80% duty cycle (what is considered a normal safe limit)

whereas you could spend under $60 on a set of cleaned up used dsm 450cc injectors which support up to about 230-250whp

96lbs injectors can support up to 750whp give or take

so making the power you are the duty cycle would be under 30% and you want your injectors duty cycle in the 65-80% range

    30% is dangerously low

  • The 96lb injectors came free with the motor I bought. My goal with the new motor is 350whp.

RC Fuel Injections calculator suggests 75lb injectors for 400hp @ 43.5psi (fuel pressure) and 0.60 BSFC

Also, where did you learn that "30% is dangerously low"? At idle any injector is operating way below 30%.

  • idle is completely different being as the pulse widths are different

    also one question

why in this video are you just using a supplemental injector to take care of your fueling instead of tuning it with a piggyback ecu?

  • There are no piggyback ECUs for the S Series unfortunately.

Our options come down to upgraded injectors (based on planned psi) with an SAFC for normal driving (doesn't allow part throttle boost), a supplemental injector controller with extra injectors in either the charge pipe or with a secondary fuel rail (optimal for low hp goals), and a standalone.

Standalone wasn't really necessary for boosting a stock motor, so I went with the easier to setup/tune and cheaper 034.

  • i would just throw 25 psi and fuck it blow it.. its only like 500 $ car

  • You can pay for my tow home in that case. ;)

  • Your mother! YOUR MOTHER.

  • Captain Coupler McKillsalot strikes again!

  • Whoa, no coupler blowage!
