  • There's no universal standard of seconds for holds. Expertly applied holds can render someone unconscious in four seconds or less, but it depends on the type of technique used, and the skill with which it's applied. Receiving instruction under the supervision of experienced masters is the only responsible way of learning how to apply these holds and how to monitor the level of consciousness in the person you are practicing on. Skill and technique dictate how long pressure is required.

  • You gonna get raped.

  • NOT TO PREACH...but I was in the Marine Corps and you should NOT do this if you dont know what you're doing. Your opponent will pass out around the 9-11 second range but they can die if you keep the hold passed the 18-21 second range...they'd at LEAST have some brain damage if they're lucky in that zone. Also, when applying the choke you want your elbow squared on the chest.

  • they teach us this in MCMAP

  • I always do this with my friends the feeling after is un decribable its so nice...

  • One of my students asked me to do this, their reaction was just as funny as yours haha

  • excellent video.

  • Did he soil himself?

  • I rofled at the same time as these guys haha !

  • it's legal to practice these chokes, where as air chokes it's not. You can try this at home then right? Eh nvm good vid anyway

  • This happend to me today in my mma class exept I was put in a triangle. I saw my self falling backwards and could not do anything about it LMAO!!!

  • lmfao he was dreaming for 2 seconds!

  • up until :26 the guy that choked him was probly like oh fuck wats happening

  • was it painful?

  • LOL holy shit thats hilarious shittt lol

  • Your acting like such a little girl. I had this done to me and i didn't act like a pussy and lay down ahahah check out my page

  • i literally laughed my ass

    !!!

  • Yeah, hypoxia is crazy. I remember doing stuff like this in jujitsu. Fading out is a weird sensation. Mentally, you start losing track of where you are, voices around you fade into incoherent jibber, and probably most striking to me was my inability to comprehend what was going on around me, although I was conscious, at least for a little while. At that point we usually let go of each other though.

  • Bullshit.

  • NOTE TO ALL: DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T HAD PROPER TRAINING. Blood chokes are really really dangerous, if the brain gets deprived of oxygen things start going wrong almost instantly. You could give someone brain damage from only a few seconds of this is you do it incorrectly.

  • @breakdance74 really?

  • @breakdance74 errr.. incorrectly like how? Brain damage?

  • A wind choke can take as long as 8 minutes to KO. Your brain can go concious for that long.

  • i had that done to me once. its nuts

  • same thing happened to me in the football locker room one thing im having fun next i wake up in the middle of the room everyone laughing hahah

  • lol i did tht to someone once ahah it wasnt tht bad tho he remebered

  • if they remember it then they didnt go unconcious.

  • tht looked fake, must people go out in seconds he started breathing which in a rear naked choke only makes it worst.

  • "WO WAT THE FUCK" Rofl omg that was the best

  • hahaha what a reaction love it

  • COOL! Do me next!! I love to get choked out.

  • thats a weird fetish

  • I laughed hard :D This reaction was priceless

  • lol dats funny ive experience dat my self, is like no other feeling like if u were reborn.

  • That reaction was priceless.

  • idk me and my brother are practicing tit

is your head suposed to feel like it pops off befor you passout?

  • Dont do this at home, only with a qualified instructor.

  • @pcman83 yea well he still held it too long

  • @pcman83 why do people twitch and how long is the standard seconds of holding the neck

  • @gunitakon Involuntary muscle spasms are common when you lose consciousness. It is similar to the jerk reaction you experence when you fall asleep and you feel a falling sensation- your brain registers that your body is relaxing and misinterprets the signals as falling/threat. This results in the involuntary spasms that wake you up again, and it is similar when you are put out with a air/blood choke. Holds like this are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and should only be practiced by trained professionals.

  • @propertyofranger thanks for the reply and can u tell me the standard seconds of holding the neck

  • awesomest feeling in the world? getting it done to you while wrestling and losing consciousness is about the scariest thing actually....fuck doing that for fun

  • Dude what the fuck? I hope this is a one-time effort only.

  • ahahah loved his reaction when he woke up good vid

  • no air chokes are safer than blood chokes. blood chokes kill very fast !

  • yes they will, you are correct. The problem is that air chokes can damage the trachea. So for practice, blood chokes are safer. Feel free to research.

  • dont forget that wind chokes take forever.

  • no, wind chokes dont take forever, no air, no oxogen good night

  • they do take longer than blood chokes to balckout from and are more painful

  • Blood chokes can cause unconsciousness in as little as 3 seconds.

  • yup. 5 seconds is the timing we usually tell others but it can happen faster.

and to the guy below: wind chokes DONT take forever, they take LONGER than blood chokes, that is all. Any ordinary person can hold his breath for over a minute and thus the wind choke will take longer. You will pass out after a minute or so but not die from it. Like the blood choke, the wind choke has to be sustained for death.

  • That's only if they panic and start [try] hyperventilating. Wind chokes take longer because people can hold their breathe and it can take about 30 seconds before the air deprivation actually takes effect on sight and consciousness.

Blood chokes block off blood flow from one or both carotid arteries or jugular veins. The brain is immediately deprived of oxygen, leading to unconsciousness and ultimately (if not released) to brain damage or death. They'll be out in a few seconds.

  • @geobros good night after 3 minutes (how long u can go with out air before passing out)

  • @townsendrankin yes i was saying it doesnt take long to go out with a wind choke as well

  • @geobros yeah i am saying a wind choke will put you out quick as well

  • chokes are chokes. they both kill you. thats like saying crack is safer than meth.

  • the guy at the beg sounds like homer simpson

  • lol yes he does!

  • Yeah, it's pretty rare though. Air chokes are the dangerous ones, blood chokes are pretty safe.

  • agree , i dont wanna be choked in the trakea or in admas apple

  • cept for the part where the air's cut off.

nice rush you get there though.

sometimes my tongue goes numb for some reason.

  • if it goes wrong you can die :p

  • really?..

  • No blood to the brain can cause brain damage,,

and with a weak heart it can be fatal

  • Yeah ExplosveNapalm sure , blood to the brain causes damage.

Actually it is pretty safe. Its not a AIR CHOKE.

They stop the blood flow to the brain for couple of secs.

  • was it what u expected?

  • Yea, but once is enough. You get a pretty good rush from it.

  • Do me next!!!
