  • Amazing!!!

  • this is priceless thank you for posting this with super quality

  • ahhh hehhehh,, I already know that was a boo boo

  • ..amazing, two great masters..!

  • ok people check out pat traver's version

  • c'est trés bon trés bon trés bon youpi !!

  • c'est vraiment trés bon!!!!!!!!

  • as a guitarist Fuck you Stevie you're to fucking great.

  • Wow. Just WOW.

  • albert was one of the many "ole founding fathers of the blues", and stevie and MANY others have gottend SO MANY licks, etc, from this master and others.

  • The discussion will be endless! SRV, Winter,Hendrix, May, Paige, Kings (Plural), Lees (plural, my favorite is Alvin from TYA :) ) Young, etc. etc . . . The list goes on

Defining skill in art can be very tricky, as it is ultimately up to personal taste. .

I´m gonna sit back , praise the uploader for giving me the chance to see and hear two blues-men make love to the instruments for 8minuttes and 3 seconds.

    Dont forget to Boogie, , , ,

  • @DKBoogieMan ...you are right! and you forgot, Elvin Bishop, Jimmy Vaughn...the list goes on and on...

  • @KKEVSTERR

And im sure I forgot even mo(o)re :)

But damn , this is just musical porn!!! In the good way ;-p

  • Man they absolutely murdered this song. As much as I like the Cream version, this one blows it out of the water. So much soul.

  • Thumbs up if like me you loved this from the moment it started

Great combo of Stevie and Albie

  • Didnt realise how close Hubert and Alberts playing style were

  • ok his real name is Johnny Allen Hendrix and i no s r v is a better player then Johnny Allen Hendrix u feel better

  • Albert at 6:35 to 6:43 is unreal

  • @deane1968 ... Not knocking SRV but IMHO on this particular song, Albert just tears it up. But I like simpler lead style like BB or Albert, I'm not a fast guitarist myself.

  • @rousso87 Same thing - they were both clowns.

  • if you never heard Duane live, You have no clue as to how totally awesome he was. Stevie Ray either. The only one of his records that came close to capturing his sound was Couldnt Stand the Weather. I am sorry the generations after me did not see the real pink floyd, Muddy waters, Albert King, Santana , John lee hooker. Bob Marley. I saw them all, and reality now is that if the good shit is out there, its way too hard to find.

  • Well you would have to see that battle on celebrity death match. Duane was awesome. I saw him twice. Stevie ray was awesome too, but srv gave props where due. I saw him lay his guitar at alberts feet at the greeNville(freedom villiage) MS fest some years ago. It was wonderful to see the r4ecognition that albert so richly deserved. So rich, full, and so much soul in so few notes. That is the Albert King way. He was truly the Velvet Bulldozer.

  • @blou4now Ha ... The Velvet Bulldozer, I never heard that before. The perfect description for Albert though. Thanks for the laugh.

  • Pure pleasure

  • i think stevie just played the perfect solo!

  • Where is the drummer?

  • @TosiekDegutis isolated

  • @twst1 You don't mean in asylum I hope

  • 1) Albert King's Flying V is so flippin' rad. 2) Does anybody know what performance this is from?

  • @mshuptar stevie ray and albert king's "In Session"

  • srv could out play jimmy by far voo doo child was done by srv way better then jimmy

  • @hgou812 false the only guitarist who could come close to JIMI is Duane Allman.

  • @kbizgod r u sick who the h*ll is Duane Allman. from the allman brothers ? srv is the man he can out play duane allman by far

  • @hgou812 dude...props to stevie, he's definitely top 5 ever, but duane utterly dominates him

  • @JambiDAgenie that is your opinion and i have mine if you put it to a vote srv would win

  • @hgou812 i know that its entirely opinionated, i totally respect that and i know your words good as mine but...i wouldn't be so sure about that last bit

  • @hgou812 The fact that you spelled his name "Jimmy" shows that you don't know enough about Hendrix to have a valuable opinion of him.

  • is he playing lefty with the strings backwards?

  • ...yes, SRV borrowed heavily but his talent is undeniable...he comps so well too. And what a tone!

  • I'll probably get hated on for this, but oh well. I will admit Stevie is fantastic on guitar, but TO ME !!! he was never original, and this video just proves it to me further.

  • @jhump2431 he has his own stuff life by the drop

  • Great performance!!

  • albert king was the blues man. stevie learned from the best.

  • srv has perfect tone here

  • four people were born under a bad sign and unluckily hit thumbs down.

  • E' classico. Albert King molto bravo.

Stevie Ray Vaughan suona bene, ma

non sarà mai come Eric Clapton !!!

  • Classic

  • Give it up for that black dude on the bass!

  • @Chipadychuck No one pays attention to the musicians in the back, least of all the bassist.

  • @becausehorse But you should. Underrated bassist keeps the beat groovy so Stevie can solo over.

  • 4 people have no taste in music

  • They are having a good time in heaven now.

  • Watching this, you can really see how much of an influence Albert had on Stevie's style. There's a great story about the first time Stevie sat in with Albert. They were trading licks and Albert couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was getting "out-Albert King'd" with his own licks haha.

  • albert king is a giant

  • alberts playing a right handed guitar upside down.. incredible.

  • j'ai le cd ,mais pas la vidéo ,super ,2 monstres !!!

  • Comment removed

  • I love the end! Big, tough Albert laughs and says "I know that was a boo-boo!"

  • Oh Sweet Jesus

  • Freak me out !

  • A.King has a real unique style, that leftie, upside-down approach

  • deze vind ik zo gaaf en luister er vaak naar

  • This was on pbs new years eve2010 {they will drag it out on pledge week].If you watch the whole thing, albert sits nodding like "thats my lick, that one two" at the end they do" dont lie to me" and albert takes the youngblood to school. at the end of the song stevie says"I wont"

  • did anyone noticed something on that flying V?

  • holy shit alberts left handed???? just noticed all them years of being a fan and i just noticed??

jeez kinda like with tommy iommy

  • @laiholapso did u notice his strings are upside down as well.......High E at top, bends are downward....You should check him out doing Bluespower "Live". Maybe cause I'm a Bluesplayer I assume everyone knows this.....Peace

  • @landonrob holy shit.....

  • @laiholapso I remember waking up one morning in 1983 and this show called "In session" had some cool players on....it was on at 7am....& thats when I 1st saw this...I saw SRV a few times Live but Albert is where he got 80 percent of his licks....Respect to both....just a lil more to Albert in my view. SRV was excellent but Albert came up with the licks & that tone of his.....Peace & Blues

  • hmm i wonder where stevie got his style from ...... 8P

  • ONLY a black man can get away with the Hitler 'stache.... lol!

  • @codehendrix jeah! its funny nopw you say it

  • @codehendrix That is tooo funny and ironic....lol...

  • @codehendrix What about Charles Chaplin??

  • @febbra2 He came before Hitler.

  • @codehendrix You're an asshole racist. Crawl back under that pile of shit out of which you came!

  • @codehendrix It is NOT Hitler's, its Charlie Chaplin's 'stache...

  • young albert king = GOD

  • good stuff... great post!

  • CLASSIC

  • Vaughn is no doubt a technical wiz, but he should turn his amp down out of respect. But he did not hog the whole song as usual, hats off to stevie for that. A King is the real deal as clapton says. When Clapton plays with the old black blues guitar legends he is usually much more subdued out of respect. Not saying Stevie is deliberately disrespectful, he just use to get carried away. A great loss was sr vaghn, my criticisms notwithstanding

  • @emotionalinvalid so disrespect stevie , then back peddle ? cant u just shut the fuck up an enjoy the groove ?

  • honor and glory :)

  • amaaaaaaaaaaaaazingggg!!!! You can really hear how thoroughly SRV was influenced by Albert King.

  • Doesn't get much better than this. Real music makes you feel it.

  • epic hitlerian stach

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMillersTale2001 captain obvious to the rescue

  • Well what the fuck? I'm in luck to hear this:) Dam! Peace all

  • anyone else get the impression Albert is all like 'yep...those are my chops....those too....and those...'

  • @labelmejay by chops you mean the guitar licks?

  • how can he play chords with his string backwards like that??

  • @ixlikexscurvy Doyle Bramhall II Plays like that as well, comes naturally. Chances are they didnt have a lefty guitar and learned on a right handed axe flipped upside down..still, its mighty impressive.

  • simplemente GENIAL

  • One big loud SWEET AS HONEY.

  • One big loud SWEET AS HONEY.

  • It's unbelievable how Stevie can play so similarly to his influences (A King, A Collins etc). Just goes to show how much he must have listened to them and wanted to play like them growing up.

  • Cool recording indeed

  • youtube is a fucking gold mine i swear.... this was awesome.

  • imagine...if Otis did this !

  • well i can die now..this post is perfect studio footage of albert performing his masterpiece with THE most ideal support available...phwoar !!

  • WOW...2 people actually DIDN'T like this? They must have actually stumbled onto this on their way to the Justin Bieber videos. Guess some people don;t actually appreciate art, talent, and SHEER emotion.

  • @rayh501 WOW..a fag mentioning a pop artist, I guess they accidentally stumbled onto a we don't give a shit video while on their way to we care. Guess some people are dumb motherfuckers!

  • simply the best

  • hot damn, the king's tone is unreal!

  • notice how albert bends his strings down and alot of ppl bendem up

  • @88ripitup that's because he plays his guitar left handed with the strings backwards, so really he's bending them down

  • @88ripitup He also plays the strings backwards if you watch. his high E sting is at the top of the neck.

  • @88ripitup that's because his high e is at the top

  • Raw smoothness!!!!!

Lil Wayne & Justin Beiber must be shitting bricks when they see this live talent!

  • @JazzyZenBrotha whos justin butthole lmao

  • @JazzyZenBrotha You put way too much hopes on humans

  • @JazzyZenBrotha Lil'whiner & Just-in Boober are not musicians, they cant comprehend music with soul. they would most likely comment on the cloths they wear and how old they look, and also complain there arent any hot girl dancers bouncing around, or should i say, boy dancers?

  • @JazzyZenBrotha those fuckers wouldnt even come to this side of yt to even get a chance to see this. and why even mention them???

  • @JazzyZenBrotha True that.

  • @JazzyZenBrotha nah they so stupid the prob think there better, when there clearly not!!

  • @JazzyZenBrotha Dont fuck with beiber...i fucking love beiber.

  • @Ragz25T go drink meth

  • @JazzyZenBrotha I think there's no place for these kind of maggots on our minds while listening to... MUSIC!

  • Student and mentor...body language tells it all...Stevie Ray is pure respect, but ready to go when King asks...whew!

  • I can feel those blues licks in my bones

  • Shit, albert doesnt play restrung :o

  • jus by listening and trying to transcribe the solos they play makes u feel n play bluesy, really makes u look at ur techniques and phrasings again n how much work u need to put in. truly remarkable.

  • @XBreD exactly. like i have steve live at the el mocambo and he bends the hell out of those strings i never realized how hard he plays and is so percise. tone is really in the fingers

  • ¿como puede haber dos pajeros que pongan "no me gusta" es inaudito!!!

    QUE GRANDES STEVIE Y ALBERT!!!

  • Damn.

  • Blues Baby ! This is the BLUES

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • One of the best things you can do on YouTube, right here!!! Albert looks so healthy! And his playing is simply effortless, brilliance! And of course Stevie is right at home with his hero!

  • COOL

  • That was definitely the best possible ending to the video.

  • Pfff stufpid Hitler, Albert is the ONLY one who can look cool with that moustache

  • Wow, I've never seen this before what a great performance, I'll probably watch this a couple dozen times. Thanks skankiniteasy for uploading this fantastic video. I'll be telling all my musician friends to check this out.

  • If you dont get your boogie on over this , follow these three simple steps

    1: get gun

    2:put gun in mouth

    3:pull trigger

  • if it wasn't for bad luck i'd have no luck at all.

  • I think this the best I've heard Albert play. One of Stevie's best too.

  • @moopadoopolus Thats cuz hes playing next to SRV. Of coarse he is gona sound better!

  • Thanks skankiniteasy.

  • Stevie was so fuckin awesome with his look-style.

  • Not a lot of people could pull off the Hitler mustache. Albert King is that badass though.

  • One person is deaf.

  • ANY BOBY OUT THERE GIVE ME A HAND IN FINDING A SONG CALLED A POCKET FULL OF PENCIELS I THINK THE NAME OF THE GROUP WAS AWALL BLUES BAND I THINK THEY WERE FROM PORTLAND OREGON ,MAN I USED TO DIG THIS JAM BACK IN THE MID 60S BUT I CAN,T FIND IT NOW CAN YOU PLEASE HELP A BLUES MAN OUT, ANYBODY THANK YOU

  • Old man Again; Played this tune in early 70's with My band...Virtue... My Song, spent my whole life beating that "Bad Sign"... Albert and Stevie make it real... Great song, great interpretation, great performers...Who is BB...?

  • this is badass, 8 minutes of goodness

  • Comment removed

  • 1 person obviously likes to suck multiple dicks at a time

  • @local757 Your an idiot.

  • SRV, meh. Albert is the boss.

  • @warlordzephyr both are bosses

  • Stevie and his God Father.

  • two master geniuses of the trade

  • Wow

  • Great Vid!! Thanks for posting! Albert is the MAN.. true bluesman, and SRV is a sweet addition to da mix! <3

  • wow albert king sounds way more natural i have a feeling that Stevie was trying to impress albert.. But that's ok because you'd do the same thing if you played with your legends

  • @MrGuitarman187 If Stevie was trying to impress Albert, he easily could have blown the house down. Stevie was holding back in respect

  • @MrGuitarman187 I think it's the bass player is pushing them both. ;)

  • @MrGuitarman187 i think it was the other way around. but i may be wrong

  • TYVM! This is? I have no words I'm speechless......Peace

  • The teacher and the student. Their in heaven now making the angels sing the blues.

  • one of the most admirable qualities of SRV is that he never tried to "show up" ..(even though he easily could)..the blues guitar greats that he was influenced by when playing beside them.

  • My grandpa met Mr. king when he came into the chevy dealer in East STL, IL to get his sububan worked on.

  • Such a great vid;thanks for putting it here for our enjoyment. C'est magnifique!
