I have watched this video a hundred times and I still dont get it. If you didnt tell me we were watching an earthquake I would have just thought this was a home video taken carelessly.

I saw this video on the news not long after the event. The quality of this YT copy is terrible, especially the audio. On the version I watched you could hear the distinct sharp sounds of buildings collapsing. It was an awful thing to hear because you knew many people were dying, men women and children, right then and there in those buildings.

Haarp is kinda fishy to me, but the LHC is 100% harmless; I can prove it to you, the most powerful collisions taking place will have energy profiles of 10^14 TeV's (terra electron volts) - But every day, our atmosphere, and entire solar system, is bombarded with cosmic rays with energy profiles of 10^17 TeV's - 3 orders of magnitude stronger than our very strongest.

The LHC will make a good bomb shelter one day O.o ..but what are they doing with such a massive device? Haarp sounds to me like some kind of experiment with the weather it's self. To me, messing around with the laws of nature is a bad idea...period.

How come the people involved even say they are not sure what can happen? The whole idea is to find out what will happen right? If you already know then call em up and save them some time. Maybe it's not the voltage people are worried about but the unknown. kinda freaks me out but I'll admit I don't know dick about it besides interviews i have seen on the tube

The scientists at the LHC are unsure about which particles they'll be able to detect. There's hundreds working there, and there are various theories being tossed around, one of which is micro-black holes. These may exist, and may be created with the collisions. But that doesn't change the fact that these same collisions happen every day and have for 5 billion years since our solar system was a baby. We're still here, ergo the (weaker) collisions at the LHC must be harmless.
