Further, if Xehanort happened to be able to Time Travel before he became a Keyblade Wielder, why, does he feel confined in Destiny Islands? He can Time Travel, who the hell cares about your Island? Also, lets say it's after the fact, how does he happen to get ethereal-like blades as his weapons *before* a Keyblade? He was a normal boy on Destiny Islands, was he not? So, this man can Time Travel, have innumerable amounts of weapons and abilities *AND* be a Keyblade Master?

I think it's Young Master Xehanort. A strong theory of mines supports this. Everyone thought this... "Oh, if it's Xehanort... then where is his keyblade." Question is... when is his keyblade? Remember, this guy can time travel. He's YMX from the past, traveling many years later... but still doesn't own a keyblade yet because he's at his young state and don't know anything about being a weilder yet perhaps but crosses through time and acknowledges them.

You know what I love about KH games? When you fight a bunch of nameless mobs, defeating them often leads to a cut scene in which the playable character is exhausted and gasping for breath... But fight an Absurdly difficult boss such as the Phantom or Sephiroth from KH1, any Organization member or (again) Sephiroth in KH2, Or the MF seen here, the playable character looks perfectly calm and collected as if nothing happened. o.o;;

@envy56789 actually this takes place after all the stories have been completed, and it is revealed in the secret ending of KHBBS that aqua is still in the realm of darkness even after sora has saved the world in KH2, and terra and ventus got their bodies back somehow, so no one really knows "when" this takes place in the timeline, the keyblade u get from him involves time, and we all know how complicated a story gets once time traveling is involved
It is impossible that this was Xemnas. As this was in canon with KHBBS, Terra had not merged yet with Xehanort, so Xemnas did not exist yet. However, it is fully possible that it was Ansem the Wise, or possibly the Nobody of Eraqus, explaining the location of the boss fight.
I think that might be master eraqus's sentiment....and he died in land of departure so it makes sense...but then i may be wrong because of the way hes holding the blades..like ventus does...

I'm guessing Mysterious figure is either a future character or just some optional boss they added for the players to have fun with. Remember those 2 optional bosses in Kingdom Hearts? The one in Agrabah and the one in Neverland. Those kind of optional bosses (but they were heartless so I'm not sure it applies as much)

@cattakins I seriously doubt its Xemnas, The Land of Departure is whole during the battle so its before MX destroys it. Plus BBS ended with Terra as Xehanort and Xemnas was the Nobody of Terranort, not MX, so if its a nobody it'd have to be MX's nobody, the characters most likely brand new, and because of the whole time travel thing, my guess is it's from the future, so its someone we haven't met yet.

I'm guessing Mysterious figure is either a future character or just some optional boss they added for the players to have fun with. Remember those 2 optional bosses in Kingdom Hearts? The one in Agrabah and the one in Neverland. Those kind of optional bosses (but they were heartless so I'm not sure it applies as much)

@IITheMilkyWayII it cant be diz cause diz is ansem the wise and had now weapon, it cant be xemnas cause those energy swords arnt ethernal blades which you find that name out in 358/2 days, it cant be terra cause you can fight him as terra and that would cause a time paradox, cant be ventus for that reason too, cant be roxas cause roxas is not technically soras heartless beacause its ventus's because ventus's heart was resonating with sora's when he became a heartless creating roxas

@cattakins I seriously doubt its Xemnas, The Land of Departure is whole during the battle so its before MX destroys it. Plus BBS ended with Terra as Xehanort and Xemnas was the Nobody of Terranort, not MX, so if its a nobody it'd have to be MX's nobody, the characters most likely brand new, and because of the whole time travel thing, my guess is it's from the future, so its someone we haven't met yet.
