Iran signed the NPT, that wasn't just some nice peace deal out of the kindness of Iran's heart, it was a deal that gave Iran its civil nuclear program (technology, expertise, equipment). The NPT was agreement that they wouldn't EVER use this technology to create any kind of nuclear bomb. Israel didn't sign this treaty because they were able to aquire the technology on their own. END!

When the NPT was signed, there were 5 states that already had nuclear weapons: The U.S., Russia, The U.K., France, and China. In the treaty these are the only states that are allowed to have nukes. India, Pakistan and Israel never signed the NPT. Iran signed the NPT so they could get help with a peaceful nuclear program, because they signed it they can't ever build nuckear weapons

I mean Ahmadinejad admitted that Iran had been seeking nuclear weapons saying that they ended the program in 2003. Well that alone is a violation of their agreement in the NPT. They made a deal with the west that in exchange for the technology, expertise and equipment needed to build a peaceful nuclear program, Iran would promise never ever ever to use this technology to persue nuclear weapons. Iran violated this agreement as it has admitted that it was seeking nuclear weapons untill 2003 when it claimed they had stopped. That alone is a violation of their agreement and warrants U.N. inspections...

We could have left right then and the country would have slipped into a civil war between the Sunni and Shia and millions would be dead. But instead we tried to build a stable democratic government before we left and because Iran was helping out Al Qaeda to move into Iraq, there was widespread violence. You all praise Iran and yet they are responsible for more Iraqi civilian deaths than us.

If they want to attack Iran anyway, then they should find a solution to attack only the regime and not the people or they shouldn't attack at all. But giving the fact that they claimed they are only fighting against the Iraqi regime, but they also killed a lot of civilians, I think it's better to live Iran alone. Let's just hope that Iran doesn't try to become the dominant power in the region though.
