  • Just Use FBX.. so much easier.

  • my max is all black and hasa ton of grids how do i get mine like yours

  • to get rid of black do - customize>load custom UI scheme>load in 'ame-light.ui'

To get rid of grids hit the 'G' key

To make one big viewport hit 'alt+w'

    Hope that helped :)

  • thank you soooooo much , i realy appreciate it :)

  • wow i was looking at 3ds max, is it really 3495 dollars or can i get it somewhere else cheaper or free?

  • if you want to do commercial work you have to buy it for 3,5K.

  • what do i do wen it sees (texture dimensions are not powers of two) wen importing .bmp files

  • What are the dimensions of your texture? You want to make sure it is 512x512 1024x1024 2048x2048 etc

  • OK thank you

  • Nice tut, dude. It helped a lot...but whenever I import a mesh into Unreal, It looks ok, but as soon as I hit the "lighting" Icon, or "play from here", my mesh turns to a silhouette. IS there a reason for this...?

  • Great tutorial, very very helpful, thanks

  • @N30NCYPHER

    hey man

where can i get the unreal editor package>>????

  • you can either buy ut3 or you can get the udk which is the demo version of ut3 at udk com

  • @unrealloco Its not a demo of UT3. it is the base engine that UT3 was made with. You can make full games using the UDK. If you use the editor and engine from the UT3 game you can only make MODS for UT3

  • thanks a bunch. Very nice tut.

  • Nice vid...thanks

  • very helpful!

    THX!
