clarity. Domination is the issue. It arises from competition to WIN.... which itself arises from Power Over others.... all of which impose a lack of natural empathy, sensitivity.... in order to exist. The civilisation of domination is the problem because it does not co-operate, it competes in the negative sense of the word. It also conditions all it's children to compete.

To break it you must break the conditioning cycles.. in yourself first, then around you.

Jensen - Seriously, do you have no faith in man what so ever? The recent rebirth in the Permaculture movement inspires me. I am proud of the little Native Canadian blood I have in me and realize we are just animals with a right to fight to servive like any other life. The fact that we are counsious beings with no way to reverse this downfall, I believe we must ALL simply evolve to a higher understanding of the meaning of life. Can't man become stewarts of the earth? Have faith in something.

If you read the majority of Jensens' works, he explains how hope and faith are poor substitutes for real action. I've always found his message inspiring because he cuts through the nonsense and rationalizations for not doing anything about the gross injustice all around us. What's depressing to me is resigning yourself to green consumerism and tending a little garden while the larger world is destroyed and it's remaining life enslaved.

there's no turning back - too many people - if you want real change you're going to have to develop a community not unlike a cult or militia - you'll have to take over a state, base line like Vermont or New Hampshire - it's going to require sacrifice which few people are willing to do

well i find your 'there is only one way' 'debate' a bit narrow. by proposing 'only one way' that you frame as virtually impossible, you are in essence saying 'there is no way out of this mess.'

if you reconsidered your 'no one gives a damn' premise, you might find that more than one way to move away from the current destructive system would emerge
