I'd forgotten all about this.Very funny a nice sort of send up of Robin Of Sherwood.I remember even the music was very like Clannads.

I worked on Maid Marian series 1 and 3. Very happy memories.  Lovely warm summer of 1989, filming near Watchet on location. Great crew and great cast!

Wow! What did you do on set! I thought they filmed in Cleeve abbey for the kings castle and Porlock Hill near there vfor the forest scenes! That what we said on the forum one time!

You are right that the filming was done in Porlock (I had forgotten the name of the place), but I was staying in Watchet and Sinderford during the filming. Happy days, indeed!

Good cg[digital] effects for 1990. Talking about techinacal stuff,do you know that nottingham castle in maid marian was actually painted on glass and only the gate was there.

It wasn't! It was filmed in Cleve Abbey in Somerset! The king's bedroom was upstairs in the abbey!
