I LOVE this and The Prince of Egypt. I like The Prince of Egypt more, and this one is great too, but EEERRRRGGGGHH!!!!!!! THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO COMPARE A DIRECT TO VIDEO FILM TO THE LION KING! This movie is always being compared to the Prince of Egypt and in my opinion the Prince is better but Joseph: King of Dreams is still quite a good movie. And the people who made this movie were good at pointing the highlights in a summary.

My only wish is that Dreamworks continue in making Biblical movies because whether the Prince of Egypt was better than Joseph: King of Dreams, people still watched both movies because there is something that just pulls you in and makes you want to learn more

(Personally, I believe it failed in it's attempt to be as good as the Prince of Egypt, but only because the Prince of Egypt had so much heart in it and was so amazingly emotional, and this was just like a child's movie.)

it really looks that way cuz this advertisement didn't really say what it's about, they just talked about the prince of egypt and the critics of the movie. this ad didn't do a very good job of selling this.

what are you talkin about? as christians, we really need to spread the word of God everywhere to people who don't know him. it's a blessing, not a punishment. the bible says my people perish because of ignorance and that's what christians are trying to prevent.

I half agree with you, but only half. People will perish because of ignorance, and it's good that we are trying to prevent it, but on the other hand you shouldn't force your religion on others. You can't MAKE somebody believe in god, most of the time they have to just find him on their own. If you try to force it, It sometimes just makes people resent god even more.

Nobody MAKES somebody believe in God, all I'm saying is that we should spread the word so that people actually have a chance of being saved and can't go around saying they never knew about God cuz that would be ignorant. It would take more than the Church (which Church?) questioning something to get it out of theaters. It really depends on whether the studio thinks it'll be profitable, and in this case they probably didn't.

nah- they just realised they'd gotten plenty of publicity from prince of egypt- they were so well known they felt they didnt need to waste time and dosh. cut out the middle-man

It said in the movie "Best movie to be premiered on video." It was a made-for-movie production. They never had any intention of sending it to theatres, I think.

I know it was a direct to video movie. But I wondering if they had thought of one point of releasing it in theatres when this was in production. But I have no info on that theory. So I guess it was a D.T.V. after all.
