Eschenbach is able to know and to transmit the exact second, the exact time, the exact pause, the exact rhythm!! It makes me shiver!! Think in all those holocausts not only the Jewish one.... I love and admire Jewish people but let's say that a holocaus, t could be Vietnam, Rwanda, Chiapas (Mexico), Korean War against USA, Civil War in Spain, Ciudad Juárez (Mexico), Somalia, Tibet, Palestinians demanding their land, those who are trying to survive and they can't!!!
Eschenbach recently joined the D.C National Symphony Orchestra. Being a resident of VA, I hope he can help turn the Kennedy Center around; it breaks my heart to see empty seats in such a beautiful theater
I love this symphony.. Thanks so much for this wonderful recording, This piece is one of the reasons why I've decided to become a professional musician...
Brilliant Bass playing at the beginning. You can see he really loves it. We don't often get much of a chance to solo in Orchestral pieces so it must be great to play this in such an esteemed orchestra. Bravo!
i like his conducting

What sort of instrument is that at 1:08? Some sort of euphonium? I've never seen a brass instrument with valves for both hands.
Sylderon 2 months ago
@Sylderon it's a tuba with 6 valves. depending on the model and brand, the valves will be in different places.
