wow! That's an amazing illustration. I wish we had the same for sedykh throwing everything from 35 lb weight to 4k hammer. I bet he would be identical technically.
@Hammerlit Sedykh says he threw the 35lb weight a few times just for fun, not for training. He either held or nearly broke the WR with it after his first try. I have a magazine article about it. If I remember right your dad competed in the meet in the UK the article is about.
@Flyzguy but this is for fun, and people look at this and do the same. the 35lb hammer is very bad for technique, this is one of the founds because all thrower in the world have this bad technique.
@Hammerlit Olli-Pekka Karjalainen of Finalnd was really good at throwing with heavy hammers. He also holds the junior record with the 7,26kg hammer at 78,33m. I've heard he has thrown a 10kg hammer 70m, which is very good.
@Reathalack Yes i know how his technique looks after this. Sorry but I'm 100% shure that 9-12kg destrois the technique and can be just usefull as an strenght exerciece. Why nobody throws 4kg 5kg 6kg? because it's not so easy to feel the technique with this light hammers. but this is the most imoportant thing.
