I think that it's a pretty big call to say that people are always polite to mormons and I think you should also take into acount that they probably only showed the mormons that were rude. Mormons are less likely to be driven away like atheists because they preach another version of Christianity (seen as benign by most folks), while atheists... well, atheists don't really preach at all, and that's why a great deal of people out there believe that non-believers are secluded neckbeards that believe in the devil.
What is real? How do you define real? Real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. Illusion is also electrical signals in the brain. We all define our reality by telling our own story. To say that your beliefs are wrong (by default) just shows how much you actually believe them. There is a reality beyond dualistic thinking. Open your third eye. Don't be afraid to see the universe as it is.

I think that it's a pretty big call to say that people are always polite to mormons and I think you should also take into acount that they probably only showed the mormons that were rude. Maybe they went to 100 houses and they majority were nice. I'm not saying that this is the case but you're making some pretty big and perhaps uneducated assumptions.

Yes, I am... And though I try to stay away from stereotypes, it's kind of true. Mormons are less likely to be driven away like atheists because they preach another version of Christianity (seen as benign by most folks), while atheists... well, atheists don't really preach at all, and that's why a great deal of people out there believe that non-believers are secluded neckbeards that believe in the devil.

What is real? How do you define real? Real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. Illusion is also electrical signals in the brain. We all define our reality by telling our own story. To say that your beliefs are wrong (by default) just shows how much you actually believe them. There is a reality beyond dualistic thinking. Open your third eye. Don't be afraid to see the universe as it is.

@fliqueur They're different signals that operate different parts of your mind. To say they're the exact same would be incorrect. Schizophrenic persons see 'illusions', and they're not seeing the universe 'as it is'. What beliefs are real is defined by that which most closely reflects reality, and that which can be tested and proven. Beliefs actually are wrong by default, until they can be proven right.
Our wonderful minds can dream up so many silly things, very little of which is ever real.

You assume and label me a "happy believer" but all I am doing is simply revealing knowledge to anyone that may listen. I have made no claim that I am a believer at all. @fliqueur No, it's not a divide between skeptics and believers, it's a divide between fantasy and reality. I, and many people don't give two fucks about a PERSONAL journey. You can have that, but as you said it, it's something personal. And it should stay like that. I have my own beliefs about afterlife and such but I don't share them because they are beliefs and I am well aware they are most likely to be wrong. I know what is real and I know what is imagination and I can put a line between.

Personally, I know there is something so huge and encompassing that we are a tiny part of, but I can't name it. Our bibles, korans, torahs and other teachings were written down by people. These same people thought the Earth was flat and that the sun rotated around Earth. While I know there is something higher, I will not blindly follow teachings just because I was told to.
