i watched all three seasons again this week, and I found myself reeling (again) at the thought that this show was never given a proper send-off. i feel sad for the younger audiences now, because they might never get to see show's like this on air again. i really hope Rob Thomas tries to revive the series. i'd settle for a novella or a comic book, similar to what they did for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (a show that, I must say, also featured a kick-ass blonde lead (refer to gotameanglare's comment)

@adnbsabff I think it was supposed to be a cliffhanger for the fourth season, but then upn or wb or cw (can't keep track of that damn network) canceled it. This is one of the best shows ever, but the Paris Hilton episode is one of the worst, just because Paris Hilton is in it.

Not sure I'm with you on that one. I think the show had dealt with many real world problems in a positive way and that was its draw card. Murder, dog theft, sordid affairs, family breakup, rape, molestation and socio-economic disparity are all real world. At least in this world. That's right song birds did not braid my hair this morning. How's about you?

the thing tht really pisses me off about the canceling of this show is this: they had a show with a smart female lead, who is blond which is storetypicaly dumb, and some really good writers. the show was doing fine!! so wtf?

the network did support it. it should have gotten another chance because the CW as a whole was, and is, a disappointment, but we were lucky to get second season, then a third one as well. the ratings were never that good and they actually increased the number of episodes ordered for S3. on top of that, several network execs were strong supporters. they simply lost the battle in the end.

well actually it does have something to do with The O.C... in Veronica Mars the action/story takes place in Neptune which is a place for the rich an glamarous and the same goes for The O.C....Its about a bunch of rich kids and there life with lots and lots of drama!
