My hair back then suited the trend going on, but i don't think it really looks good anymore ): Get extensions, just don't spike it up like crazy! Try teasing underneath your layers and spraying them, then flatten it down to give your hair some "oomph" and volume. It will look great (:

A good way to tell if hairspray is going to work well, at the store, before you buy, spray a bit in your hand and rub your finger in it. If it starts to get sticky then it is probably pretty good.

@leetledanigirl I explained before that it was indeed done before i started. I brushed it out as much as i could but hairspray wont come off unless i wash it. But also, all i used was hairspray and a brush and even if it my hair wasnt done before, the result would be exactly the same. I loved my hairstyle back then, and i do agree that flatter hair is much more natural and beautiful. But i was 16 at the time, and i enjoyed being creative with my hair.

Honestly, the only way to get your hair to look good is to cut it yourself. Anyone who asks how you get your hair a certain way and it happens to looks good, chances are you cut it yourself. Salone people don't know what they are doing these days.

@DropDeadVanna I completely agree, everytime i go to a salon they cut it retarded so i decided to cut it myself. The more i practiced, the more i got to know my hair. By that i mean what works best and such. I know sometimes cutting it yourself can end up rather tragic but after a while you begin to cut hair better than at the salon!

@cuppycake901 Honestly i did it myself. My hair turned like that after the pink bit fried from the bleach and decided to rip off.. But even to do this day i always cut it like that. Just grow out your fringe and cut the sides, its easy. I have the same bangs (but thicker) now but black. I have a photo that shows it really clear, If you're interested in cutting it yourself, i can give you a link to the photo so you can copy (:

i was talking to my mom about dying my hair and we went to a pro and she told me that if i wanted to dye my hair-which is black- she told me it would look bad and that if i bleach some of my hair and use red that it would look good for 3 weeks but then it would turn an ugly orange. i still want to dye my hair but if there any other color that wouldnt look gross in my hair and not change??

@BlackButterflyxo Every hairdye fades, box dye from the supermarkets fade very slowly but give you a hell less vibrant shade than the vibrant dyes sold in hairhouse or something. The dyes i use (pink&blue) are Fudge, i redye every few days. Don't bleach your whole head if your not willing to redye everytime the colour fades out. Thing is, are you dying bits of your hair or all of it? if bits, pink and purple fades slower than other colours (from personal experience) Hope i helped..

@TayyRoxs I do them myself (: I'll give you both of the ways i do them. Bleach a whole strand of your hair to blonde, after that, you just veeerrryyy neatly use perhaps the end of a brush and dip it in black dye and paint the stripes on. I don't use cardboard to lean my hair on because if it moves, it will bleed onto the bleached parts. Leave the dye on for 30 minutes, then wash it out thoroughly. it should come out perfectly fine when you blow dry. The second part (this is what i used) cont..

@TayyRoxs .. well, it's what i used on the bottom of my hair. Sticky tape stripes on your strand of hair, and carefully apply bleach to the gaps. It's good to use this if you want black and pink/blue/purple etc coons. Anyway, after you apply, make sure bleach does not slip underneath the tape as it will unevenly bleach the black parts. after development time (30-40 minutes but check your hair occasionally) wash it out and blow dry, and done =D hope i helped.
