rainie has a better voice then boa because she actually has a singing voice while boa doesn't necessarily have a singing voice but she can carry a tune.  boa can dance tho so...it evens out i guess...

RAnie is just a little copy cater, she copy little korean girls and now teenage korean girls, she need her own style. Next she'll be the wannabe Ariel lin or Jolin Tsai. But she's one of my favorite actor and I love her movies. And don't compare her to BoA.

BoA is popular in 5 different countries and Ranie is trying to become someone popular. Props to both. Lovely and complex.

what determines a singing voice? do you mean which voice is more pleasant to listen to, then evidently...your statement is subjective. both rainie and boa have unique singing styles and there are different people who like both of them or enjoy one or the other. i don't think it's right to say one has a "better" voice for ANYONE in general...because, as i said before...it's subjective. However, i appreciate the fact that you appreciate both artists and not demean one or the other. ^^;

boa can carry a tune but her voice isn't necesarily a singing voice. while rainie yang does actually have a singing voice, even if her range is limited. it's like comparing hyori to ok ju hyun or sohee to ye eun. obviously hyori and sohee can carry a tune because they've been trained but their singing voices don't come naturally like ok ju hyun and ye eun. neways, i bet you'll say hyori's voice ability can be subjective...that's my opinion take it or leave it.

O really? then would u please find me a video about BoA before plastic surgery?
