Hello Wayne I completely agree with you about make up being able to transform a face. I only do my own make up, however, I have been asked by a few friends to show them how to use it on their faces. Hey Wayne? Since you're the only MUA I've seen give a lick of their talent and time to proper makeup application for those of us who are, (cough) more mature. It's frustrating watching some MUA's who exclusively display tuts that only someone in their 20s or 30's could wear. You address it and help teach us what to follow and not follow, because WE ARE different, our faces and skin, things are different, but we still want to have fun with MU or at least learn to camoflauge. I request more vids.

I get so angry when I think how many girls are depressed because they can't look as perfect as celebrities, not realizing that it's not physically possible to look like that without loads of makeup/photoshop/surgery/expensive products etc. And all the men that are made to think that there are women out there who naturally look like that, which makes women feel like they have to work harder to impress them against the ridiculous competition.

@t0MaToe he explaains n 1 of his vids that in women who are beginning to even slightly age and they smile it brings the cheeks up and they put their blush on.then when they stop smiling the cheeks are slightly lower therefore so is the blush making the face appear stretched out and aged.:) he is truly brilliant im 23 and even on young skin if u apply directly on the apples if ur not careful it can be a hot mess
@t0MaToe No my darling, smiling and blush does not make you look older. MISAPPLIED blush, the wrong shade or colour, can clash, and can age you. As you age, you have more skin (same skin but it's stretched out), so when you're older, the apple of the cheek falls when smiling, unlike that of a 20-something. The cheeks are stationary. The only negative thing about smiling, genuine smiling, you may get crows feet. Wayne is teaching how and where to apply blush to the over 40 crowd.
don't get me started on advertisements for acne products that "claim" to get rid of it. Im a free lance artist and I work with Photoshop DAILY and I retouch peoples faces for wedding photos and all that jazz its such a pain to see that crap on tv, its even worse for older ladies skin care products.. you wanna look younger? send me a picture of you and i'll take the years right off your face.

Your videos are fantastic and straight to the point, you actually know what you're doing and know what you're talking about. I love that you give people who are still new to makeup alternatives to the high end makeup brands such as MAC, products that are affordable but professional and provide links on where they can be bought. I think more of this is needed on Youtube and thank you so much for providing it to other aspiring makeup artists and people that just want to know how to apply makeup .

Can you talk about Erno Laszlo products? He was a Hungarian dermatologist to the stars, think Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie O, etc... Anyway he invented "invisible" makeup for the stars of the 40s-50s since there was no retouching/airbrushing then. I've been using his skincare products for about 3 months now and can tell a huge difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. I never see anything on Youtube regarding him or his products, so I was hoping you could put something up?

@t0MaToe he explaains n 1 of his vids that in women who are beginning to even slightly age and they smile it brings the cheeks up and they put their blush on.then when they stop smiling the cheeks are slightly lower therefore so is the blush making the face appear stretched out and aged.:) he is truly brilliant im 23 and even on young skin if u apply directly on the apples if ur not careful it can be a hot mess

@t0MaToe No my darling, smiling and blush does not make you look older. MISAPPLIED blush, the wrong shade or colour, can clash, and can age you. As you age, you have more skin (same skin but it's stretched out), so when you're older, the apple of the cheek falls when smiling, unlike that of a 20-something. The cheeks are stationary. The only negative thing about smiling, genuine smiling, you may get crows feet. Wayne is teaching how and where to apply blush to the over 40 crowd.

don't get me started on advertisements for acne products that "claim" to get rid of it. Im a free lance artist and I work with Photoshop DAILY and I retouch peoples faces for wedding photos and all that jazz its such a pain to see that crap on tv, its even worse for older ladies skin care products.. you wanna look younger? send me a picture of you and i'll take the years right off your face.
this is why I love watching your videos, you tell it how it is and your honest with your viewers

I really love what you have to say in this video... I am coming from originally a fine arts background, then into the body arts professionally for the past 15 years including theatre & fantasy, but up until recently, I didn't do beauty make-up. I went into Edith Serei Academie this past fall (2010) and have had mixed feelings about becoming a full on make-up artist because I dont' like the message that the make-up, fashion, film & media industries teach/influence in women in terms of self-esteem

Your videos are fantastic and straight to the point, you actually know what you're doing and know what you're talking about. I love that you give people who are still new to makeup alternatives to the high end makeup brands such as MAC, products that are affordable but professional and provide links on where they can be bought. I think more of this is needed on Youtube and thank you so much for providing it to other aspiring makeup artists and people that just want to know how to apply makeup .

Terrific video. The only thing that bothered me was you said applying blush while smiling, to the apple of the cheek was a TV/theater trick to make one look older, and I thought "wait! Where am I supposed to apply it?"

I love your tip about blush I used to put mine on the 'apples of my cheeks' and it would still look quite low and not do anything to help my baby fat face! Do you have any recommendations as to which primer to use for people with really oily skin? :) xx

Can you talk about Erno Laszlo products? He was a Hungarian dermatologist to the stars, think Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie O, etc... Anyway he invented "invisible" makeup for the stars of the 40s-50s since there was no retouching/airbrushing then. I've been using his skincare products for about 3 months now and can tell a huge difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. I never see anything on Youtube regarding him or his products, so I was hoping you could put something up?

hello wayne. i fly alot because of my job. sometimes i look a bit tired and my skin is "grey" and colorless. do you know some tricks, to let my skin look fresher? i am gay, but i dont wanna look, that i have something in my face,you know what i mean:-) and, do you know a good face mask for me to put on, when my face looks tired from flying? thanks so much....
