  • u guys like this. these guys are signed to the same company as manson...

  • I remember MBM at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver Canada back in the 90's with Jesus Jones. What a show!!!

  • let there be light...

  • Jack Dangers is a musical genius.

  • @birdonashiv indeed

  • @misterman71 This was made in 1992. Consider the equipment available before comparing it to what we can produce today. They were innovators then, and continue to be now.

  • This is it

  • yeah i'm sorry misterman71, you were right the first time: it is a fact!

  • @misterman71 America has the Bomb Squad, Swindon has Meat Beat :)

  • ben stokes was the first person to tell me about aftereffects! word up to H gun. I had no idea he was a part of mbm.

  • ssss thats a hard one guys but i think your leaving out graham massey 808 state!!!!! as one of the true origional beat masters and sonik communicator

  • Yeah!

  • how about their sound "cutman"? anyone knows? i heard it on live @ the social by the chemical brothers and can't find it anymore!!

  • @ganiniii Cutman is on Armed Audio Warfare...i have it...let me know if you need it

  • Ah, what a bloody great album Satyricon was and still is. And this song is a total gem.

  • @RooseveltJones Spot on.

  • Man, Jack has some sharp teeth..

  • does anyone hear the residents? duck stab???

  • I gotta say, this version blows the socks of the album version...

  • this song was heavy as hell back in the day...I remember picking up the single putting it on and being like "HOLY SHIT!!"...classic...awesome....

  • In retrospective this tune was mre then ahead of its time, it was a sound in itself. Jack Dangers is one of the few electronic artist that can write lyrics that mean something and more then keep up with the changing standards of edm culture. Albums like 99% and Autoimmune are a perfect artistic take on the wild trek that is the history of UK dance music. The samples, the music, the drugs, and just the scene within itself owes alot to this act.

Also Bieber sucks, aids, Autotune is gay

  • @misterman71 No that's totaly a fact we can prove it with science. Not liking meat beat manifesto makes a big fat gay. And not one of the cool ones who like dance. No the big fat ones who play dungeons and dragons!

  • Awsome track used to watch this on mtv all the time still gives me goosebumps.

Whats the sample at the start and end from?

I remember its a computer/bomb from some film maybe, but where from who knows help?

  • @sparkstron73 The movie was Dark Star. It was something of a hippie/sci-fi flick. A spaceship had smart bombs with artificial intelligence who would, due to their intelligence, sometimes question their deployment or lack thereof. Jack has placed samples of it in Drop as well.

  • @jeffersongt thanks for that.

I have the film and remember something about killer tomatoes or have I just lost the plot?

    Will have to rewatch cheers;)

  • @sparkstron73 The crew of the ship acquired an alien as a "pet." It looks like a big red beach ball with claws.Perhaps that is your killer tomato?

  • @misterman71 Lets not forget the one and only Richard D James!

    aphex twin

  • Jack=genius.

  • "What is your one purpose in life?"

    "To explode, of course"

How fucking brilliant is that for an opening line. They don't make music like this anymore. And it's a fucking shame.

  • @paranoidandroid192 - big time fucking shame!!

  • HOLY FUCK ^__________^

  • Permanent Brainwashed Content?

  • @JBonthebase Permanent Brainwashed CONTEMPT! ;)

  • Thanks for posting, havent heard this track in years!

  • A few days ago I watched the great film by Carpenter called "Dark Star", that film ends with an atomic bomb exploding in a space ship. Because due to some program bug the bomb controlling device thinks that it is creating a new universum (see Big Bang). It goes off by saying: "Let there be light". And few days later I started to listen to MBM intensely after having neglected them for 5 or more years: and what do I hear at the end of the clip? The mentioned speech sample.

  • Jack's beats are incredible but his bass lines are just fucking sick.

  • Thnx for posting!!!

  • Jack Dangers is a genius. Way ahead of his time.

    Nice one Jack.

  • I agree, but Front 242 throw down some badass ahead of their time kinda signatures as well!

  • im really sorry but i just CANT disagree with you:)

  • Meat Beat > DJ Shadow. Shadow isn't even a shadow of Meat Beat.

  • Rocked this CD in 91' with fake id's, heading to windsor canada.

Good times. We were light years ahead of any music then

  • omg that would be the sickest !!!

  • da geh' ich doch ab!

  • Danger is a fucking genious

  • Does anyone know if this is the song that is sampled in Eric B. and Rakim's song "let the rhythm hit 'em" ?

  • Comment removed

  • pardon me, the commodores track is "assembly line" on the album machine gun

  • Thank you for the info!!!!☺

  • Radio babylon was one of the most heavily sampled beats from the 90s . His worked is copied alot . He's the master of bass tones / beats . etc etc etc.

  • Thank you for the info oODOVETAILOo!!!! : )

  • My mates older brother directed the video to Strap Down.lmao.

  • i will check it out!

  • Google CRAIG MORRISION

  • ok.......

  • We said it then, I'll say it now.

    Way ahead of his time!!!

  • anyone notice how sharp jacks teeth are?

  • hes from england right? they're supposed to have bad teeth

  • im english too. cough cough

  • prettiest video i've ever seen

  • Was listening to the album daily for more than 5 years.

    Unique stuff for sure.

  • FUCKING DANCE TIME.

  • Jack is a God among men. His music transcends the regular bullshit that people think is music.

  • I'm there man...he is

  • Jack is a genius. Way ahead of his time. Make todays MC's sound like little boys...

  • If you ask no questions then beware of lies...

    Peerless.

  • Fantastic stuff from one of my favorite and most played albums of all time.

  • Banksyyyyyy!!

  • Awesome,is it from 92??

  • That first sample is from John Carpenter's Dark Star in case anyone cares.

  • great nostalgia love this thanks:-)

  • Thank you :)

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this part 2 of "Edge..."?

  • You are correct. This song was so far ahead of its time. I remember seeing it on 120 Minutes. blew my mind away then, blows it away now!

  • loco in a fish tank....rockin

  • me too

  • . . . and i wanted to give you some bpm's . . . we got 112

  • This is the era of Jack that has had the most influence on me. The Armed/99/Satyricon period I feel is his best stuff. Though I am also blown away by Actual Sounds + Voicees. I find I am less interested in the Subliminal Sandwhich/At The Center stuff. Though having said that, Jack has always kicked my ass, and I wouldn't be surprised if he blew my mind again in the future. I will always by his stuff.

  • Saw them open for Nine Inch Nails back in 91-ish. Marcus offered to cut my hair into the same little braids that he had on God OD. What a great memory.

  • Well..sorry I didn't read the jacket I was too busy going to their shows about 12 times. And I hate to tell you this but the line I stated has MORE meaning than yours...

  • i mean this in the most tasteful way and i'm attempting to be condescending or insulting whatsoever.... but, i highly recommend that everybody read the lyrics for satyricon. they are absolutely brilliant. It kinda bums me out a bit that jack doesn't vocalize so much anymore because he blows me away

  • If you ask no questions you will get no lies!

  • If you ask no questions then beware of lies.

The line you just dropped makes no sense whatsoever...

The lyrics are even in the jacket for fuck's sake.

  • ha...

"if you quote lyrics, beware of nerds"

  • whats up w these guys now?

  • I love you Jack!

  • MBM !!! just perfect!

  • hell yeah
