At best, Bernier's hit was borderline.
It wasn't even close to a cut and dried penalty. he hit's Jovo in the shoulder for goodness sake.

Jovo saw Bernier coming and put himself in that position. There was no head shot. Was he supposed to play the puck? You are taught to play the man, that is why you play the game.

Sketchy hit by Bernie, but I still think he won the fight. Evident by the fact that Boynton had to jump him from behind later in the game to get the upper hand. Bernie isn't even a fighter. ha ha!

the fight was alright. but you would expect someone to hit him again cause the hit he put on jovonoski(sp?) was like you said sketchy.

Yeah, but when you answer for it, it's done. Regardless of the outcome of the fight. Bernie didn't pull a Phaneuf or Matt Cooke, running away from the challenge after a bad hit. He answered it. You shouldn't have to answer the call twice, ESPECIALLY by a cheap shot to the face from behind, that's how Bertuzzi ended a career.
