Hi Great vid just wanted to no what was the green stuff that you put into the molds is that Oyumaru too and can it be painted-sorry for my newbish "Q" im new to casting.
i,ve just odererd a pack of Oyumaru from ebay off fredaldous ;)
The idea i was going for is once i made my mold i was going to fill it in with opoxie sculpt would that be ok to do ;) keep up the great work 10/10
after I watched this video I went out to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee and started singing 'Oyumaru', without thinking to much of it. And again half an hour later I was singing it again. Thank you Mythril I now have a jolly song to sing while modelling . LOL
BRAVO! Let's get you that big record deal! Loved the vid! I think this is an awesome product. ESPECIALLY for those of us that aren't as talented with the green stuff as Retri, Van, and the others!
The song, the stop motion animation at the end, and ofcourse the demo of the Oyumaru......EPIC!! Really awesome video and very entertaining! Love watching all your vids you have a great talent and wonderful personality. great stuff,. Anyway you can send me a link to a site I can get the oyumaru stuff at? that would be great thanks.
@TheDizmo I'm in the UK, and I got it from a company called Fred Aldous, but I do believe it is available on Ebay. Thanks for the lovely comment, much appreciated buddy.
lol Mythril you seems to be having a bit of fun singing and playing with the Oyumaru sticks, thumbs up for the song alone,, just one question though how long do you have before the stick stop being flexable enough to make a mold,, do you have several mins at room temp to make the casting?
@vanhammer73 Hi Van, Just did a little test, after being in the pot of just boiled water for 3.5 min, working with it on a cold glass cutting board, it started to lose sensitivity at 2min 20sec and stopped taking a clear impression at 3min 25 sec. You could maybe extend the working time by working with it on a warmed stone board. It does get sticky when hot so most items require to be left in until cool, but I did find that small shapers could be used to shape a little. Big hugs
Um.. what was she trying to show again? I was to busy watching her dance and sing. :$ To cute! Hmm I need to try this stuff since the GK dont come with enough parts to make a full Purifier squad. :(
I've been using this myself ever since an ebay order for the "wargaming themed" stuff you might have seen on coolminiornot went wrong. I just ordered this stuff instead and it's amazing and a lot cheaper. I've been casting my own bases with it so far and I've going to be doing a video on how I use it. I've got good results using milliput as well
that stuff does look like an interesting substance might have to try some (if its not that expensive) lol the little song you did is stuck in my head now and all i can think about is Oyumaru lol. great video
What was the name of the stuff again? ;-) Very nice and helpfull tutorial, i especialy liked the cutscenes and special effects. Sooner or later i have to contact my trusted dealer in Hong Kong to get a hand on this amazing stuff!
@RogalDorn69 Aha, that's the difference then. Thanks for the info. Sometimes 30 seconds seems like 5 minutes when you want it to hurry up and cool down.
@kiraidne well if you dry or remove the exces water you could maybe push it to 15 or 20 seconds, buy yeah i know what you mean, though waiting for the green stuff to dry is even more annoying :)
Hehehe glad you picked some up! :D Those look like great results. I'm going to try boiling mine for longer where as before I was just letting it sit in a cup of boiling water. Love the vid! ;) :D
Funny song!
