  • Best cliffhanger ever...

  • Yeah, I admit we were a lame crowd... I love Rich Hall thought, he's always hilarious on QI :)

  • Anyone seen the routine he does with household products, like soap powder? Its an old routine i saw on here, but can't find.

  • bad audience, but he soldiered through!

  • Dang, that's a lame crowd, if I ever saw one...

  • Sincerely hope they can't understand him, he's a funny guy. They sound like a funeral audience. Grizzly shit, come on!

  • From now on when I have a cheese and mayonnaise sandwich, I'm calling it a Rich Hall. Make it sound like a premeditated dish, as opposed to having not bothered to get groceries for the past two weeks and having nothing in the fridge except bread and cheese and mayonnaise.

  • Man, I can only hope the lack of enthusiasm on part of the audience is due to the language barrier. 'Cos if not then the Belgians seem to be very much like the Germans and the Swiss. They've got about as much of a sense of humour as a boiled potato...

  • the audience enjoys the performance mostly few people not enjoying it, just like in any audience. same with part 2.

  • I think Rich Hall stopped watching it himself...I hope he got paid prior to taking the stage.....Maybe he should have broke into Siglets....

Painful, I bet he was hoping for the stage to eat him.

  • I am ashamed

  • f you i'm from texas

  • wow they're dumb.

  • I am surprised by the amount of people who are commenting on how humourless the Belgians are....do you people know nothing about truthful stereotypes, no wonder the Germans were so at home there.

  • right, imma start on that sandwich right now.

  • they really are a fuckin useless audience ha

  • Maybe its not a good thing for comedians to travel to france, holland and belgium. Audience there just dont get it.

  • @sverio12345 Cultural references never work outside your own area, but more general stuf does work perfectly in Belgium or Holland. I guess we just don't laugh that hard. Or perhaps they had the wrong audience here, sometimes they do laugh a lot harder with english speaking comedians.

  • @sverio12345

Oh they get it, and they enjoy it. They just don't scream as much as an audience in a Comedy club in the Bronx would.

  • rich put your how the west was lost back up on bbc iplayer. part from that, your quality (uk)

  • this was a great set, it is so painful on second viewing however with the audience being so dead

  • I'm Belgian and the first time we saw this (my parents, my brother and me)we had no idea who he was...we all laughed our asses off, including my father and he hardly ever laughs out loud. Now I've seen on QI several times and he's hilarious! It"s probably just the audience who didn't really understand him because of the different language or maybe it's just a boring audience. But I think this is awesome.

  • Can't wait to see him live in June - front row!!!

  • I for one don't LIKE an audience yelling and shouting... it's about the guy on stage, not the audience

  • - you can drive for three days and you're still in Texas

    - yeah I had a piece of shit car like that too once

    loool

  • Rich Hall... one of the best stand up comedians ever

  • yeah... Rich Hall... one of the best stand up comedians out there

  • YO! AUDIENCE!!! WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

I found this so funny!!!! Love Rich Hall!

  • I think it was awesome.

  • it did take a while for the crowd to catch up but I think overall its not that bad.

  • what a wank crowd. is it because they don't speak english or do belgians just not have a sense of humour?

  • I'm a Belgian and I didn't found it really funny. Jokes about Texas, bearjokes and dead muscians we don't know. It's just not adapted for a non american audience.

I did like his chocolate jokes in an other video. mmm chocolate

  • Your sense of humour is explanation enough for the shitty audience.

  • nite25 if you've never heard of Stevie Ray Vaughn or Neil Young you're a dumbass or a cultural barbarian

  • I want to be a Sandwich named after me

  • WHY !

    THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!

  • Considering its not there forst language I think it goes ok. They get some of the jokes.

  • Belgians...

  • Never said Belgians are idiots shitface.

  • You should shut the hell up about things that don't even concern you in the least, because you are critisising people about things that they think are an inherent part of their fundemental self- understanding which other people know nothing about. this is, of course, inconstruent with your claims to what you say they are, can, or will be. so stfu

  • I used to have a dog called Scruffy, but I never lived in Montana......

  • ha ha my dogs called scruffy, i live in England.

  • For some reason, my previous comment earned a thumbs down.

I wonder if it was because I had a dog called Scruffy or because I never lived in Montana......

  • Don't worry, It's been fixed!

  • @thesteveus I live in Montana but I never had a dog named Scruffy. :)

  • Wow what a dreadful audience.

  • I wouldn't say dreadful really. I think it's mostly to do with the fact that most people in the audience have english as their 2nd or 3rd language, so it takes them a while longer to get it.

  • omg what a shit fukn audience. when he said the bob dylan joke at the apollo th place went crazy

  • its funny how the audience have no clue what he's talking about jees he must feel awful

  • @antonimbret

that's because the governement wants us to learn french instead of english, a shame

  • love hall!! hes hallarious!!!

  • Rich Hall's really funny - it's just that he didn't target the right audience, what do Belgians know about american comedy, let alone the english language?

  • i hear that the belgians are some of the most depressed people and since the only famous person is jean claude van damme its no wonder,

  • we only get depressed when ppl confront us with the fact JC Vandamme IS from our countrey^^

So stillgabriel, I'm Belgian & also a fan of Rich Hall, think a lot had to do with the fact a lotta ppl here don't know Rich, a also the language-thing...

But in all honesty, even as a fan, i also didn't think this was one of his top-perfomances...

Wanna see him blow the audience away, check "Rich Hall - Live at the apollo"

(or just type Otis Lee Crenshaw)

  • I've seen this show on Canvas, wich is actually a Belgian channel but it's also broadcasted in The Netherlands.

I really liked Rich Hall's joke about the diffrent sorts of chocolate.

For sofar i've heard this is Comedy Casino's last episode. (correct me if i'm wrong)

Thanks alot for uploading this video poesjesmul69! / Bedankt voor het uploaden! ;)

  • The second time he came to this show he was hylarious !

This one wasn't his best one...

  • lol yes we do, he just in a stupid place thats al

  • I'm Belgian and laughed so hard while watching the neighbours started complaining.

But really, a lot of fellow Belgians think they know english and go to these shows. Fact is, they don't, and they only realise it when they start laughing along just because the rest of the crowd is.

  • Yes of course this audience represents the whole Belgian population o_O. I personally think he's damn funny, and I'm a Belgian.

    xxxLiz

  • His material is great but he's dying out there, I don't think the audience really aunderstand English that well, especially cus he uses words like 'hyperbole'.

  • A shame he was kinda lost on the Belgians...

The man is a great comedian.

  • @MONDARIZDK yeah he lost his stride a bit cuz they weren't getting it :(

  • @MONDARIZDK No worries, I'm Belgian and I like him ;)

  • fuck what that audience thought, still amazin no matter what.

  • This is really weird. Rich Hall is funny, you can tell the people are entertained and smiling and stuff, but I don't think they're really understanding alot of the jokes. either that, or Belgians are really, really quiet in comedy clubs.

  • this isn't his best performance.

  • eddie izzard had a bit in glorious, when he said "...and god created showers, and toasters and grandmothers and BELGIUM"...maybe they're a special people :) i'm not being xenophobic, it's just funny

  • That's the difference an audience makes in stand up.

  • yeah the audience sucks, m frm belgium and audiences suck here

  • the audience is ok. Nothing wrong with it

  • no it isnt, theyre just silent

  • i love belgium but...

    worst. audience. EVER.

  • rich is great

    audience need a boot

  • atleast they are giving him polite laughter.what else do you want them to do?

  • fucking belgium pricks

  • I don't think the language is such an issue, many people speak English in Belgium. It might have something to do with the type of humor, some like a more dry, less American approach. I personally found it hilarious though.

  • is there even an audience?

    He doesn't deserve this :S

  • its great that rich hall is the inspiration behind Moe Szyslak, from the simpsons

  • yes i know youve said this enough times

  • true i might have , but will talent of rich hall and the come down sarcasm of moe i dont think it could be told enough

  • he was funny for me, but then i speak the damn language.

  • crap crowd

    but they don't speak english

  • tough crowd

  • Rich Hall is great but I have to say that was painful to watch!

  • audience is plain terrible.

  • Didn't Rich Hall say on QI once that he bombed in a comedy show in Belgium?

  • he said he bombed in Japan because the audience all spoke japanese

  • Oh, yeah.

  • I love Rich Hall to the bones, but it reminds me of when I watched Richard Pryor's: Live and Smokin'. The crowd reacted the same, but for some reason Pryor's material was to brual and raw for the audience at the time, for this hes just toooo out of context.

  • what an awkward crowd. hardly any response from them at all.

  • in the words of Stephen Fry, the only reason one would enter Belguim is to pass out the other side

  • I agree

  • Its everytime o´clock online and free of bondage of nation

  • They should have put Rich on stage AFTER the free beer. It looks like a bridge convention

  • Well, it's a really bad comedy club in Belgium. Not even Belgian comedians bring their A-game. Crappy venue, most of the crowd only knows basic English and (trust me) have never even heard of Rich Hall. I'd look bored too.

  • well I assume the audience speaks something other than english....

  • no life in teh audience at all
