They should have given him the medicine, Xanax withdrawal is just as deadly as illegal drugs and alcohol withdrawal, and had they'd seek proper medical attention for him, he would still be alive today. I have had to restrain aggressive and violent clients when I was working in the medical field and based on what I see here he is nowhere as aggressive as those clients were. First off, you don't even need a fucking medical professional to help with the problem he had, in fact a medical professional would make this worse because they most likely would not understand the aspects of benzodiazepane withdrawal.

This man was addicted to benzos. Even if you take benzos as prescribed, you get addicted. Upon stopping benzos you can face life-threatening seizures. To make it worse, he was sobering up from another gaba-ergic drug, called alcohol.

@JenkemBOMBS Coroner's report revealed that Sean's death was a direct result of withdrawals from Xanax. The jail would not let him take his prescription. Had they called in medics perhaps they could have avoided having to pay the Levert family the $4 million that they paid in their settlement for his death. A very expensive lesson to learn. They have also changed their policies in accordance to Sean's Law which is named after Sean Levert. A little bit of common sense goes a very long way.
