It is amazing how that one line change made such a difference to that scene and made it so memorable. The other line would have made for a forgettable scene

Loved the "I know" moment. Interesting that this was never Mr. Lucas intention. I thought Lawrence Kasdan was responsible for this line but we find out it was Mr. Fords grasp and understanding of the Character to give us this line.
This story about changing the line in The Empire Strikes Back is the EXACT reason why the Star War prequels sucked (well... at least the Phantom Menance did). I don't think anyone associated with those productions had the balls to step to Lucas and tell him when something was stupid, like having R2-D2 and CP3-O in the prequels made NO DAMN SENSE.
FAvreau is pretty obnoxious in these... finishing sentences, and interrupting non stop.... Just a tad pompous. IT"S HARRISON FORD... show so respect...:)
