  • What ... a ... sound... Man, u should be proud.

  • Dude, great bike, great pipes...I have an '04 1300 retro (dont know what year yours is) and I have the same pipes on....What a great combination, your bike sounds great...just a couple recommendations here: you may get a bit more boom boom pop, boom boom pop, boom boom pop at idle if you adjust your idle control knob below the air filter, or install a A/F adjustment screw...just thought I'd share that with you...again, great sound outa these pipes with our bikes...checkout vtxoa.com for more

  • How much do those pipes run? What a great warm thunder sound...

  • what kind of saddle bags and rear seat back do you have?

  • @arichard487 The backrest is part of the seat which was a Corbin Dual Tourer seat. Honestly, I don't remember the name band of those bags. I had them attached using ghost brackets.

  • Great sound man! I was thinking about the Cobra Swept but now I'm having second thoughts.

  • @bjkimmell ha i have to tell u i have cobras on my 1300 and i hate to say it but i think these sound better

  • Wanted to thank you again for this video, I bought a set right after I saw this. You can see my videos by searching mhill911 on youtube.

  • where can i buy these pipes

  • sweet sound!!! I can see the joy that bike gives you. Nice video

  • hahaha, I love the camera angle!

  • Man those pipes got a nice throaty rumble to them, have to check out putting some on my bike.

  • I have to admit that this is the best sounding video I have heard on here with these pipes. My HK 3" Big Straights will be here this coming week, all due in part to your video. Thank you so much for shooting it. Mine will be on here after I put my pipes on my Meanstreak, and I plan on shooting similar to yours.

Keep the rubber on the pavement!

  • What is the pair valve removal and what does it do for the bike? I have a 1800 with the HK 3'

  • So great. Your bike is so beautiful, and sounds really great.

I hope i'll find one soon.

    Nice exhaust too.

It's a pleasure to see somebody enjoy riding his bike like you do.

    V my friend!

  • Nice vid, very nice sound and nice to see someone having fun ;-)

  • Which pipes are these? the 3" Big Straights or the 3" Res-tech? thanks

  • @kylelaird21 just the 3" straights.

  • Thanks for breakin it down, I got tha full response of tha 3" BK sound 1st gear to 5th Cool man Cool. Just got 3" BKs for my Suk C-90 sounds like a Beast.

  • Hey Hudock, I just put these pipes on my 1300 and love em. You get you piar valve done?

  • Nice Job. :)

  • Great sound, nothing more to say. I´m riding 09 HD Fatboy and i have to work a lot and spend a lot of money to have a sound like this. Thx

  • To me a Ninja 500 is a mini bike at best, as for the Suzuki 900 not much better. To me both are toys. I have raced many sportbikes and although they can be a lot of fun, they tend to get a little old. Anymore I much more enjoy cruisers and fortunatelyfor me I have got to spend A LOT of time on many different new Harley's. I found I enjoyed them more than the sport bikes. I enjoyed your video and your enthusiasm. As was stated before, one can not compair sportbikes to cruisers.

  • What an ignorant comment. How can you compare a sportbike and a cruiser? I owned a CBR and a GSXR. I grew out of the sportbike thing; too much temptation.

  • @anx1300c And the little punks that ride them all think they are the best rider in the world. I quit riding them because of the type of thugs that ride them.Big testosterone competition, I ride because I enjoy riding, not to prove how good I am like most of these little kids riding wheelies.

  • Ever thought about trading the VTX in for a CBR or a GSXR 1000? After riding one of these you'll think that VTX is a childs toy.

  • Hah! If you saw my other videos you would see I went from a Ninja 500, to a Suzuki 900. And quite honestly, those are toys compared to my vtx!

  • @pbmax CBR and GSXR are the kids toys, I had a CBR F4i, I got too old for it, I moved up to a VTX 1300R Mans cruiser. i couldn't have bought a better ride... next bike, Gold wing, but Ive got a few years before that happens.

  • Thanks for making this vid, I Have the same bike and bought a set today. sound sooo goood!

  • But If I wasn't I wouldn't be able to supply those in need of the sound of these pipes =)

  • @mrhudock yeah man... your vid is what convinced me to put them on my 1800. dork it up!

  • Dude, that sounds great!

  • MissHoduck, your Mommy is not here.

  • oink oink douche

  • Those are probably the loudest pipes I've ever heard, and it's just in the damn video!

  • lol i have 2.5" HK pipes, sounds fantastic!!!!

  • that sounds fantastic and mean as shit . i'm going to trade my 1993 corvette for one of those vtx 1300 hopefully this week

  • Hudock roks!!!!!

  • I have 4 years on my HK's with no problems.

  • Have you had any issues with them and how long have you had them? I had them on my vulcan 1500 but they cracked after three months. Loved the sound, might buy them for my vtx 1800 but not sure how long they will last.

  • Josh put them on in April, I bought the bike in July - so this year it will be two years - no problems at all.....

  • I have the same bike only with the staggered cobra pipes, they sound awesome. I like your back foot pegs, where did you order them? I also put an aluminum wheel on the rear so I can run tubeless tire, will do the front when I have the bucks.Nice bike mrhudock

  • I'm getting a VTX-1300 this weekend. Gotta have those pipes. How illegal are they?

  • I never had an issue, I live in a pretty small town and sometimes work at 6am or come home around midnight and was never an issue. Its all in how you drive. When I creep up my side streets at 6am I just keep it in 2nd and slowly roll through each stop sign to keep the peace. But if its 3pm in the afternoon, I can just open it up, and its not obnoxious enough that any of the officers have ever cared.

  • They sound great, i have HK 2.5" american straights, and like so many others, the chrome on the tips peel like crazy. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS Hard Krome will only replace them if you have the receipt, and they're like $90 each to replace. I ground mine done and painted just the tips black, and they look great. Cobra Longshots sound AMAZING on the VTX 1300, i recommend those to al my customers

  • SOUNDS fuckin bad ass!!!!

  • Great video man. Loved the bike out in its true element. None of this sitting in the drive way just puttering away. Fuck those cages man! Let that girl scream her heart out.

  • BAD ASS sound man

  • Thanks for this video. This HK have a perfect sound!

  • dude this is how a bike is supposed to sound

  • ya...love the sound

just ordered HK 3 inch pipes for my c109rt suzuki...looking forward to it.....thx for the video it helped me decide what pipes i was gonna go with...cheers

  • man , you are one bad ass piglet :) .

  • thats how there supposed to sound...fucking good

  • thanks for sharing this. I just ordered the black 3" RES tech fro m HK. I hope with some help from my bro, we can get them installed without any problems. Like your video. Can't wait to get mine done.

  • Any problems with the welds cracking or the chrome flaking off. Noticed a post elsewhere that some have had this problem, although different bike. Noticed skiing Blue, father in law use to work there.

  • fuck yeah bro!! it sounds bad ass!!!

  • Your video convinced me to go with the HardKrome 3" pipes on my VTX...Thanks!

  • "WOO!" haha killer sound man.

  • I wanted to let everyone know I updated the "About" section of this video with the most commonly asked questions. Let me know if there is anything I left out!

  • Great Sound Man!!!

  • This video gives you a virtual experience of riding with the new pipes. Commentary while riding is to the point and does not interfere with sound of pipes, it adds to the experience. The quality of video stands out. Well done.

  • I am really leaning towards these pipes because of your video. So I would like to thank you for the video and the extremely quick responses.

But I heard y'all talking about removing the pair valve. What is this, and if I do need to do this, how could I get instructions to remove the pair valve?

    Thanks again.

  • When you bought the pipes was everything included or did you have to buy an installation kit? Did you put the pipes on yourself?

  • All you need to buy is the 2 pieces crush gasket that go in between the pipes and the headers. Only a few dollars from whever you buy the pipes or a local motorcycle store. I did install them myself, and I'm not at all experienced with major mechanical work, and it was quite easy. Defiantly need 2 ppl though.

  • hey ur bike sounds bad ass but is that to loud like law calling Neighbor bitching loud. or just good mean loud

  • Nah, my neighbors never had a problem with it, and I sometimes arrived home from work around midnight and left around 5am. Its defiantly just good mean loud, however, if you want to piss off the neighbors, you defiantly can.

  • Have you found any bluing on your pipes? These pipes sound good but was wondering how the chrome has held up.

  • Nope none at all, plus HK (Hard Krome) offers a warranty of "never bluing" against it too.

  • Damn brother, you couldn't be more right about "being much louder in real life!" I installed my 3 inch straights this past weekend on my 1300. Many videos here do not depict accurately the sound of various pipes. Therefore I went out and found VTX riding groups to listen to everyone's bikes. If you have a VTX, most others fail in comparison to the volume and growl! This is definately the set up to go with for any VTX 1300, unless you are concerned about your bike being too loud!

  • Dude that was awesome!!!

    loved it!

  • this dude is the man! i love his way of showing what he's done... nice cam mount what kinda cam you using? Keep up the vids man...and include tips you learned along the build.

  • Hey brother...I was sold on the pipes I need once I saw your video, which is awesome! Nice VTX! Where did you purchase your coasters for the PAR valve removal?

  • Great job on the video! I was considering these pipes but was concerned about how loud they are. I want something deep and throaty but I don't want to wake up the whole neighborhood. Are they baffles you can buy for these to quiet them down a bit?

  • mrhudock, what baffles do you have ?i put hk 3" longs on my 1800 and they sound nothing like yours, straight thru baffles ?thanks again great job on the video

  • Really? Just the stock baffles. It is a 1300 so the pin crank might sound a bit different.

  • great job on the video, sounds great i hope my HK 3inch longs for my 1800 sound this good ,can`t wait to put them on

  • where is the next video i have been waiting. im going to get the same pipes because of this video thanks jim

  • Beautiful SOUND Brother!

  • Great sound!!! I also have a VTX 1300c and the HK strippers. I was wondering if you know if they sold baffles or end caps. I will one day post a video of my X.

  • mrhudock..

    thanks for producing these videos.

    I bought an 05 vtx 1300c.

I think I bought it because of the v&h pipes on it. it is frigging loud, and easily has the ability to wake neighbors. They sold an 1800 right next to mine with stock pipes. It had a beautiful paint job, but I wanted to beg the guy to get new pipes.

if you buy a vtx, you must get aftermarket pipes. Stock compared to mine and mrhudock is a joke.

    Later, thanks... AC BARAKAS

  • My father has stock on his, we always bust his balls "Is it on?"

  • i have a 04 1300vtxr how did you mount your camcorder on the bike

  • Yah, I gotta hand it to yah, That does sound pretty damn close to a Harley, but Noooot quite.... very nice bike though, all Hondas are very good bikes

  • So, for "nooooot quite" i saved 15K grand? :) Price can be a big selling point when its the difference between owning and not owning.

  • I agree, im not nockin yah, it sounds good and those VTX's are great bikes-- I almost bought one myself but decided to bite the big bullet and get a fat boy... its all in what you want bro....stay safe out there, remember, loud pipes save lives

  • yes guys i know wath you feel!!!

    yeaaahh!!! very nice bike

    & vidéo

    ô_O

  • this was the funniest thing i have ever watched

  • love the video man im about to get a VTX 1800F

  • Sounds very good. I've been considering the 1800, but may stick with the 1300 just for the single pin crank. Love that blub blub blub!!

You look like you're having a blast!

  • bel lavoro mrhudock! (great job) i want buy one honda vtx 1300... or harley davidos fat boy... ciao from italy

  • i know this noise

    the horse is very good

    ;_)

  • Thats it.... placing the order tomorrow

I needed to hear the sound

  • im getting 2.75 hk's.....will they sound the same?? im putting them on a road star 1600

  • getting my hk's next week..... after hearing this i cant wait

  • Great video Josh, and the bike is fucking awesome!

  • Fuckin HELL! DUDE the sound of this beautiful VTX is so AMAZING just like all movie! I got a superbike but in the future planning buy similar MONSTER as you got now! AWESOME bike and CRAZY DRIVER, 5 STARS!!!! Taje care DUDE

  • That is one NASTY sounding bike show me what you did with the exhaust.....music to my ears "fucking beautiful"

  • Cool vid bro... Nice bike.did you do an Air filter and re-jet yet????or was that just the pipes???

  • I did eventually remove the pair valve, but no rejet or airfilter work besides that.

  • I bought the bike - and yes it did need to be rejetted - it had a 'skip' to it and after it was rejetted it ran like a dream. No issues with the airfilter, I replaced the stock with K&N and still no issue

  • Also I never had any issues with the LEOs nor the Military Base Security - the pipes pass the sound test but once you romp on the throttle is gets loud and sounds awesome

  • Josh, she is still running and being well taken care of and is still a blast to ride - Thanks for taking good care of her before you passed her along to me - Not one regret of getting this bike :)

  • Are those the Hard Krome RES-Tech pipes or just the regular straights? Nice bike and vid!!

  • RES tech? I don't think so, they are just regular HK3" Straight pipes.

  • Great job. Love the sound of those pipes!

  • howdy from tenn. there mr. mrhudock. you know the old saying, loveing ever min. of it. i have the 3" hk strats on my vtx 1300 R, it`s on youtube here also. part 2 will be here soon, gona rib them double D`s. that`s a cool video. thanks for shareing it.

  • Josh, great video. The pipes sound a LOT LOUDER!!! You are one CRAZY DUDE! - jimmerz
