Israel's number one priority is to gain recognition of its legitimacy and its right to exist by its enemys. The best chance it has of doing this is to facicilate the creation of a Palestinian state in which the Palestinian Authoriy accepts Israels right to exist. This will not achieve complete peace internally, it will internationally. The internal peace between cultures will be a drawn out process that can only occur with the complete support of Israel in the international community.
