  • Great videos Perry! Like the chicken herder said, it resembles the death camus also the meadow camus. Both are very deadly. The death camus is so deadly it has been used on poison tip arrows. Both grow in sub alpine like 5 thousand feet or so like on avalanche meadows. Just be very sure of what you are eating when trying any lily. Thank you for all the tips

  • @silverslivver This bulb is recommended to only be harvested while in bloom, since it is easily identified at that time. When a person becomes intimately acquainted with the plant then they can harvest at other times as well. Thanks for your comment

  • Thanks Perry! Those bulbs are tasty! I think it would be important to point out that when Sego Lilies are sprouting they resemble Death Camas which is very poisonous.

  • @TheChickenherder Thanks for watching and for your comment. While in bloom they are distinctive for sure, but otherwise caution is warranted. Have a great day.

  • Thanks Perry, I havent seen that eatable befor.

  • Thank you sir, I bet it would give soup a good flavor. Can you eat the whole plant sir? Thank you for your time...........Cindy

  • @CindyWC4 The bulb is the only part of the plant we eat. Thanks for watching!!
