I'm not Chinese, Filipino, Korean, Japanese, or etc, I'm Asian/Southeast Asian and I just want to say I am proud that the World and especially the Americans finally recognize us Asians that we could sing with them. In the past there was just black, whites, and Latinos singing in the music and acting industry.

I hope to see and hear more Asians being recognize in the USA acting and singing career near the future.

I love charice, and I have no doubt she is going to go far. But I wish her advisers would teach her how to address the crowd in every country she is in if she want her fan base to go beyond the philippines, just a sign of courtesy to the fans of every country who waits and adore her, just like Singapore, she could have at least say "hello singapore, or hello america etc, and then thank them for appreciating her music. i notice Bieber is trying to woe the pilipino audience now by addresing them.

Charice's comment about the Filipinos being so hard to please (@ 1:45) was exactly the same comment that Lea Salonga herself said in one of the local interviews when she was just starting to emerge in the mega-musical Miss Saigon. But mind you, Filipinos do that only to Filipino stars. They embrace & put the foreign stars into pedestal but they criticize & look down on the locals. To this day, Jose Rizal's depiction of Doña Victorina from his timeless novel "Noli Me Tangere" still holds on.
