Good old Mississippi...hasn't changed much since the 1960s, except they used to kill the protesters back then. Probably has a fat sheriff with a big chaw of tobacco in his mouth, calling the KKK members in city and county departments to block the KS vehicles. And the judges are probably corrupt, too.
A truly wonderful tribute and a heart wrenching reminder of the cost of war.
It does give me, for one, some hope to see people acting with such decency, such courage, and such community spirit in the face of such wickedness. This sort of thing is getting rarer in this age of atomisation, broken homes and distant wars.
Glad to see some of that old fashioned American spirit yet remains despite all the 'diversity' 'flag burning' and 'progressivism' that seems set to consign it to history.
This is why I love Mississippi!! People take care of each other here. im Born and raised in New Jersey but been living in MS over 12 years now... when people ask where im from I say MISSISSIPPI!! R.I.P. Ssgt. Rodgers.
Rest in peace Sgt. Rogers. And God bless the folks in Brandon, Mississippi. Your protection of this young man and his family is what God's word is all about. There is nothing of God in WBC.
The only way to handle something that requires this type of handling. People keep this up and they will eventually fade away in the distance. Peace to all.
So PROUD to be a Mississippian

Brings tears to my eyes to see so many people come together to protect and defend someone they never knew. Definitely Proud to be an American.
