  • i was there they are so beutiful

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITE EXPERIENCES!!!

BUT THE PRICES ON THE ISLAND OF GRAND CAYMAN IS EXPENSIVE.

  • iv come up with 3 conclusions of why these people are swimming with stinger rays.

    1. photo shop

2 . theres no stinger on the stinger ray

    3. they are all high and have completly lost it

  • @y2taner

Its none of those things Im afraid. You are probably thinking back to what happened to Steve Irwin. That was a freak accident. The firs person to be killed by a stingray in a very long time. They are normally very peaceful creatures, small mouths and very curious of humans. If you treat them properly and dont do anything to frighten them, they are perfectly safe to swim with.

  • @DeathJesterUK Thank you so much for that comment! People need to realize this, they're wonderful animals..

  • do they have those stingers on there tail ~please reply

  • @raffypup31 they do have stingers on their tails, but the stingrays are so used to being surrounded by humans therefore there arent any issues!!! :)

  • Guys if you were to come here you wouldn't have to be worried about them stinging you for two reasons. One. Their stingers are clipped. Two. They're tamed so that they are used to human activity. Just don't be a dumbass and try to lift it out of water.

  • i almost touched one when i went to the aquarium like a million years ago but i was horrified

  • lol look at the guys face on 0:15

  • its very safe, i did it last year

  • wow i remember going there when i was 9 or 10 it was sooo cool i kissed 9 and my nine years of good luck havent came yet

  • Who is the ridiculous that dislike this beautiful encounter, dont be irrational or ridiculous, the stingray never attack humans, only if you hurt or threat them

  • i did this back in 2006,was very swell, did anyone else go to turtle farm

  • i was there once some fat guy nearly drowned he didn't know how to swim and panicked so my dad had to drag him to the boat then someone lost a wedding ring and my dad found it super dad

  • @MANTISFISH wow ure dad sounds like hes fucking god you pathetic bitch

  • im going there today at 1

  • hola quiero conocer a alguien que viva en las islas caiman quiero irme a vivir para alla este es mi correo do.adria@yahoo.com

  • How cool wud it be if someone got stung to death by one of those things? How excitin can it be jus touchin them at least then u got a real vacation story

  • that girl is smiling cuz he got bj-ed by the stingray

  • did they cut the stingers of

  • @Fin616 no they are 100% wild stingrays

  • lol i went there way back when i was a kid, i fed a big stingray a fish, and it sucked up my hand too, but it didnt hurt because it has small, round stubs of teeth, it just felt like someone had squeezed my hand tightly

  • I went there Spring of '05. Insane animals!

  • i went and i had to kiss it... haha

  • let it give u a hicky

  • lol funny how people do this and say the animal when crazy when it kills them.

  • LOL 0:55

  • why wont it sting them

  • @TheLilbreakdancer910 because they aren`t provoking it and it doesn`t feel threatened.

  • @TheLilbreakdancer910

stingray's stings are for defense only. They are not naturally aggressive animals. And, they actually do not have full control of tired stings, when they get agitated, the "flip up their tail's and hopeful strikes the aggressor.

  • Comment removed

  • wow...human beings...were like some shit out of a movie

  • Crikey, I love stingrays! I'll just swim over the top here and AHHHH! Dead.

  • Not unless you're an idiot and you provoke it.

  • didnt steve urkel die from one of those (yes the australlian guy) he was my favorite animal guy i used to watch his show all the time

  • steve irwin my mistake

  • LMAO steve urkel

  • Steve Irwin and its spelt Australia

  • with all the ppl there i totally think they may have made the stingers fixed

  • Go but don't go on the "cattle barges".

Used to be able to dive for conch and have the guide cook up some awesome ceviche type of a dish. Ron Ebanks."Abanks" in the movie "The Firm"Grand Cayman was true paradise in 92.

  • i wanna go there :D

  • i was just there tuesday and it was amazing! their stomachs r so soft! i even got to kiss 1

  • hehe i was there tuesday also, i was on Carnival Destiny it was awsome ;3

  • im flying to the grand caymans this summer and I might get to do that! I'm really looking forward to it!

  • yeah they tickle you don't they. i had a few on my shoulders and back, never forget it.

  • @purplepenguin314 1st base thats it?! i would at least gotten to third ;)

  • yea i was there too, great time. no they dont sting you can feed them which is very cool although you get a hickey if they miss :P

  • I'd like to go there. :)

  • A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

  • I have done this in the Grand Caymans too! These creatures are very friendly and literally rub up against you as they swim by. You can lift them partially out of the water and they don't sting anyone!

  • i'd rather swim with a manta ray than a sting ray manta rays seem more trustful and harmless.

  • thats what they want you to think

  • yhe id rather swim with mermaids ;)

  • they removed the barbers. or whatever there called.

  • They didn`t. These are wild stingrays. Its just that they are around people since years ago, they first came there to collect fish from fishing boats, so they won`t harm people.

  • its barbs

  • i'v been here. they dont remove the barbs. the rays are just not aggressive at all. there are SO many rays there it would be a nearly impossible job anyway.

  • Is this not dangerous?

  • thats what she said

  • the stingrays here are around people every day so i dont worry

  • I remember doing this, it was so fun! It just so happened that it was right after steve irwin died, so in alot of my pictures i was covering my heart with my arms lol.

  • hahahaha!!!! niceee lol!!

  • im going there too!!! the ritz carlton and ill be going to stingray city :D

  • Thats not a real stingray its my "special brother and his silly ocean hat "Its his way of meeting girls .He's so lame !

  • I've been there to (: It was so nice.

  • Where Is It ?

  • did they cut off the stingers or do they just not sting u at all?

  • back in the day, fisherman used to use this sandbar as a cleaning point for their catch before their return home....it attracted stingrays, parrot fish, etc. and people just started domesticating them....

  • i have been there i loved to feed the rays when i was 6 it was scary and awsome

  • LOL 0.53

  • Um are they crazi that thing could have stung them OMG I WOULD HAVE BEEN SO SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 Your not the only one. when i went there i had to stay still while floating because i was worrying about stepping on them or kicking them accidentally :)

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 i went if u dont snorkle or swim they cant hurt you

  • @camzilla2000 They are not going to STING YOU!!, only if you hurt them they will!

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 A stingray will never stung you only if you hurt them!

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 Your a huge sped they take off the tail so people cant get stung

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 they took the barbs off of them.

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 Hmmm... They do not sting, only if you hurt them they will!

  • @HappyBunnyPoster1 I actually went on this myself and I have to say those sting rays expect the people that go bc they feed them squid so the sting rays are calm. Those are also southern non-stinging sting rays, they have stingers but dont ues them unless backed into a corner. :D

  • looks like some fun~

  • I just returned from Grand Cayman--and posted my sting ray video. My husband and I took the boat trip that leaves from The Grand Caymanian Resort. We were the first to arrive at the site. Had the rays all to ourselves at 8:00 a.m. What a place!

  • omg i went here too!

i put some of here food on my friends back and it jumped up and sucked her back!!

  • guys I know this sounds stupid but I'm kinda freaked out about goin there but the sting rays wont like sting me right?

  • no, just don't grab their tail, they are very affectionate.

Beautiful creatures. They will wrap around your legs, they love you for the food!

  • im goin to the cayman islands in 6 days ive been there so many times and i love it especially rum point

  • ha! i am too, and im going here

  • What is the point of this clip? No audio, a web page promotion...I do not get it.

  • i'm heading off to the caymans in 2 weeks. i was wondering which boat company you used to go to sting-ray city. i understand that there are several different boats that head out there at one time, and was looking for the best deal. any thoughts?

  • They are very friendly..like lassie of the sea...very passive, docile...they only sting if you injure them or step on them

  • aw i love sting rays. dont get to see em much in the wild or anything. maybe i need to go to the cayman islands.

  • Touching the stingrays skin is like petting a dolphin. Their skin feels like rubber. And their like little puppies, when you put squid in your hand they'll follow you around. It's really cool and im really glad to call Cayman my home.

  • aint they dangerous??

  • They're tame, they wouldn't harm you.

They're used to people petting and feeding them.

  • wow you all got balls to be touching those big rays

  • Great shots, a little closer to the rays than I got!. What a great place to visit.

  • Nice vid sorta

    BIG STINGRAY
