@Kscorps8592 The Tanker definitely had a foreboding atmosphere to it that I really like; You just know something big is going down. I believe MGS2 is probably the best written video game of all time, sadly its the most under-appreciated of the series too cause of Raiden. With MGS4 being the most epic of the series, MGS 1 being the all-rounded best, and MGS3 being a mix of epic and tragedy(in the literary sense. Not as in its a bad game or anything like that :P). all my opinion of course

@OmegaOwA MGS3 still ranks highest on my list. MGS2 is, like you said, one of the best and most unappreciated games in the series. MGS1 ranks high because of its excellent exposure to the modern Metal Gear series. MGS4 is... crazily, my least favorite game in the series. It's amazing and everything, but it over-complicates itself. It's greatest flaw is every other Metal Gear's greatest strength- a deep and complex story.

@cloudbroken Yeah I would agree with that. MGS4 was epic since it was the finale and really had that grand feeling to it. But it was a bit skewered..I feel Kojima tried to resolve too many things and in the process, kind of diminished the story of MGS. Also seemed a bit messy.

@wolflover552 nah, mgs is better than splinter cell because splinter cell is really more of a "sit and wait in shadows" type game, where everything is SUPER realistic, except the three lights on your head that AI are blind to... it's much more slow paced cause you spend 90% of the time in the shadows.

in mgs, the concept of "shadows' doesn't really exist... you hide by BECOMING the environment - a box, a locker, a guard... etc...

therefore, mgs allows for more versatility, and thus, fun.
