  • Cool! i have a few questions.

Is this more reliable than a vintage Minimoog?

Should i get this instead of a more expensive, "real" minimoog?

P.S. thanks for the friend request!

    -Aidan

  • Hooray for cascading FM madness! =)

  • creepy laughter hahahaha

  • extreme close up...it looks like hes leaning towards the camera....but the machine is tight i have a vst just like that keyboard

  • WHAAAT

  • guy looks EMO :)

  • Amos has a dream job!

  • With the OS can u save a sound so you dont have to make it all over again?

  • nahh, theres no digital involved so you this is like the old D-type minimoog in the 70's XD

  • If he was twisting and old radio it wouldnt make any difference to me....sounds shit.

  • Thats ok - you dont get it :)

  • Buthonestly from a moog perspective it wasnt impressing. I have propably the most customized Minimoog around, one of a kind and can do much better than this. It really didnt show anyting.

  • tara, your wasting your time trying to elucidate to a bunch of idiots, who in the main, will probably never use or even SMELL an analog synth.

Poor Amos...his only crime is that he works for moog, which believe it or not qualifies him to have a slightly kooky personality, as most people of a creative bent are actually not encumbered with the character traits of insurance salesmen. He's actually a very bright button ( so Im told), too.

  • Awesome.. sounds almost like a VCS3

  • this keyboard is awsome, but this guy is kreepie

  • you should have sent the lfo to control osc1's pitch

  • OK, it's a cool synth. OK, MOOG is trying to recall its past glory and capitalize on nostalgic obsession with the MiniMoog. But can they really not have figured out by 2008 that: 1)those rocker switches s*ck, and 2) making 'F' the lowest note on the keyboard is as stupid now as it was in the 70's? Guys, you're allowed to correct basic design flaws, you've updated the whole machine, what's the problem?

  • It also makes normal sounds (if you like that sort of thing)

  • to be honest I was a bit pissed the girl wanted to hear crazy cascade shit. i could have done with either some fly lead or some deep phat bass....sure tell us it's capabilities but don't ruin a video with them.

  • Thanks for the comment LFO, I like to demo instruments in relation to the music i write and like to hear. I'm sure you'll find some fly lead or some deep phat bass videos around, or maybe make some of your own and show us - the girl

  • Nerd Haters are lame, Amos is RAD and knows his MOOG -

    Imagine a world without nerds.....

you wouldn't have a computer to read this on....

  • I wouldn't call Amos a nerd....I'd say he comes across as a decent chap who's into his synths. I'd quite happily talk about the Voyager for hours and hours over a couple hundred beers. Shit...maybe I am a nerd lol

  • I think this thing is out of tune pretty bad. That's not good advertising. What do you guys think?

  • 5 thumbs down....say's YOUR'E WRONG MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAH

  • emoooooooooooooooo

  • shit it's hot

  • Deadly machine, thanks for the demo.

  • go take a piss on your own damned thread, boob-boy.

    GO AMOS!

(wanna audition for the Joker in the next Batman flick? ;-D)

  • be gentle with BOOBOOSD he's only 12 and he just discovering masturbation.

  • Thanks to Tara and Amos. This synth covers a lot of ground, and your demo was most helpful. Love the heterodyne madness!

  • wtf

that dood is a creep O_O

  • kulamdaparim - when you can fuck with a synth like Amos you'll be allowed to play with the grown ups. Now off to play with the drum loops on your PC.

  • i'm not that much of a "VST's CAN DO THAT TOO" flamer and i like hardware but isn't dising someone as a software user kinda dumb since if you read up on it a lot of the professionals at least use software sequencers a little bit somewhere in the process to get a certain sound they want? not to mention ive heard some big name producers use modified generic royalty free drum loop kits

  • Are you mentally ill?

  • Hey Amos, I just read your post, sorry about my rude comments.

Maybe you were nervous.....look on the bright side, if anyone needs a diabolic goon laugh for their next film- your the man!!!!

  • and it's really fun....heheheHEHEHEHHHHEEEE!!!!!!! What the hell is Moog thinking, sending this guy...??? HOLY COW Batman, yes Robin..it seems as though Creepstreet is back .... and his weapon in a Moog !!!!!!

  • LOL i cracked up when I heard that laugh... hhehehe now I must kill kill kill...

  • you guys must really be some boring old cunts. who wants to hear more of the same old wakeman solos or whatever. Experimental music is the music of this century and I'm sure LOTS of people prefer to hear about these abilities than the standard moog leads and basses.

And she liked it. You can hear it. Oh yeah...and sorry for being rude... ;)

  • Ten bucks he didn't get laid.

  • he'll be played by jeff goldblum in the next moog movie

  • Moogs would have never become famous if people like Carlos, Wakeman, Emerson, and Corea only made weird sounds with them. Can't people be interested in the musical aspects of these things anymore?

Man, is that Amos' real laugh or what??

  • Amos here - no that's *not* my real laugh, it makes me cringe. It's my nervous, first-time-on-camera laugh, captured forever during the first interview of my first-ever NAMM show. Other than laughing like a goon, though, I'm pretty happy with this clip. Plenty of people are interested in the musical aspects of this synth, we were just having fun with its crazy-noise-making potential.

    Cheers!

  • Amos - your presentation was great....and you have alot of personality. You came across confident....and you know your stuff. The sounds you created gave me a glimpse of the modular style madness that could be created using the control processors etc. You did not come across nervous to me....and your laugh was amusing....in a good way. Seriously, don't pay any attention to some of these guys who post negative comments. They will never have the honour of working for Moog...nor touch a real synth.

  • Then buy the normal damned voyager. Quiet you.

  • I believe the price will be closer to $2200. Old Minimoogs sell for far more than that now, so $2200 seems reasonable. If you need MIDI you can use a MIDI to CV box.

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I like, I want...I think.

  • it will be mine.

oh yes. it will be mine.

  • Awesome!
