So far I'm very happy with my camcorder. I first bought a Sony HDR-SR12 but it had a defect......then returned it and the second one had a loud clicking noise so i gave up on it. so far i'm happy with my canon.. it's my first ever camcorder (not really counting the sony as my first). A viewfinder is a must for me in my opinion. In the future i want a high end sony or canon:)
