programming isent the best, because it gets boring, but it is fun to watch programmed robots try to work when they are partially damaged (wheels gone, ect..) they just roll around.... unlike if there was a live controller

Unless the robot could detect if that state occurs and change it's actions so that it is less useless through programming.
