I have a Camry and recently test drove a Lexus ES. Man that thing is smooth, quiet, very comfortable and powerful! I think my next car will be a Lexus.... after my Camry is done (if ever).
Ever since Lexus came on to the market, bmw n benz just keep on reducing their prices, which tells u that Lexus is picking more n more of the market share from those 2 brands.
Try driving an ES and then a XLE camry and you will feel and hear the difference in & out of the cars, it's obvious the people saying an ES is just a camry never got the invitation to ride in a Lexus, let alone drive one.
I just bought a ES 300 2003 at $5,500 but the mileage is at 185,000. Good working conditions with no leaks and runs smoothly on the road. Any tips on how to keep the car running for years to come? TY in advance.
@liljonsp616 you are dumb. The leather seats for a used Carmy is $600 but for Lexus is $2000. The reason is they use different pads in the seats for Lexus, which are absolutely more comfortable than the ones in Camry. I own a Camry, but I was so stupid to listen to people like you when I made up my mind. ES is by far a better car. A full camry is about $34k while a full ES is about $42k. I didn't know 42 is tripled the value of 34. You may want to use a calculator next time to do the math.
@MrDefq THAT WOULD BE A PRETTY LOADED CAMRY AND IF YOU HAD THAT MONEY IT WOULD BE STUPID TO BUY A CAMRY AT THAT LEVEL. IM ALSO ASSUMING THAT THE LEATHER IS OF A BETTER QUALITY IN THE LEXUS
I really disagree with the criticism consumer reports has given the Lexus center stack monitors. I've used them and compared to the Mercedes or BMW COMMAND system, they're a breeze to use. Just my opinion, and most reviews that I've read online agree that it's a very intuative system and very simple to get used to
@frank55656 Just to add, how is this an upgrade to the top-of-the-line Camry XLE? Basically, they are the same car with all the same features, though, the XLE gets a little better gas milage. This ES is just there to 'look pretty' and it might be a downgrade since Jake Fisher complains about rear view visibility.
Great review, I like watching you guys more than all the other youtube channel auto reviewers, insidelines, cars.com, but you need to put out more videos more often!

I don't feel this car too much
It looks bland, the inside looks also bland. Not much design or tech or style. Lexus should update this car completly as well as the SC 430
So far audis have better style interior n exterior

@jvrdlc I like the older body style of ES more than the newer one.

@frank55656 If you think that, you obviously havn't
1) Felt all the materials inside the Lexus that are a step above the Camry
2) Driven the car to know the Lexus is even more refined and quiet
3) Come to a realization that for a luxury car price, you get luxury car assembled quality.
Until you've experience both the Camry and ES, you don't have much room to spout an opinion
