I bought my Scirocco as a junker, spent 15 minutes and 4 dollars on it......I drove it for 4 years without any issues(On a CIS car, this is unheard of), then my engine popped because of a bad water tank on an aftermarket radiator.

On the old mustang i owned it was all about maintenance because thats all i did to it, i think it spent 2/3's of its time on jackstands, i sold it to some kid who bought a 200 shot nos kit and blew it up 3 weeks later.

Whole engine felt like it was going to explode and run away... 30 seconds into the hill and then the throttle cable snapped. So much back torque from the engine the chain shot off the front sprocket. Boy was it fun. It sucked walking 40 minutes back home though. haha.
