She had to slide up to that note in her prime, unlike her pre-taped performances of the 2000's and beyond which sound flawless because they are lipsynced. Too bad a 'big voice' and a 'big range' is not marketable today. I guess you can always order the best of the 80's collection when you're up at 2am snacking on ice cream and see that infomercial :)

She was already great before, she has gotten even better. She was effortless in this video. See her "Listen" when she was doing it "karaoke" style, she was awesome and was able to hit the high notes, but she also struggled a bit.
Now, her voice is so smooth and 'complete', it's incredible. I'm speechless at how much Charice has improved, which I didn't think possible since she was already great from the beginning.

those who says there lots of pinoys singers in pinas, i agree to that! i dont know anyone of them for 30 yrs i'm here in u.s.i'm a noranian period.1st time i heard of charice-someone had fwded her video performance fr star king s.korea to several emadds,& i watched that thousand times,then saw ellen paging for char whoever knew her to contact ellen & finally got hold of char &booked her2her show & i was amazed,wow really!&then@Oprah,thats it.i dont go2YT,dont have TFCcoz i watch politics mostly.

Mr Foster, I have nothing against Charice but if you could just visit the philippines, you'll be surprised that we have a lot of girls like charice. I'm proud of her but come to think of it, she sounds amazing in other countries but when it's time to perform in her native country, she sounds like every little girl here singing. I don't know why, but i've tried separating her voice from others but i can't.

The talent and passion for singing is so much like any little girls in the country and i hope mr DF would take some time to listen to them. Just an additional info: charice was recommended to mr foster by ellen degeneres the first celebrity in us that showcased her talent to americans. that's accdg to an episode of tv patrol that i was able to watch before.

This is so funny... right? cause her own tour was a failure in her own country. She is just a TOY, dear. A little toy. She has no charisma, she has no presence of stage, she is not sexy, she didn't even make a hit!!! She was already great before, she has gotten even better. She was effortless in this video. See her "Listen" when she was doing it "karaoke" style, she was awesome and was able to hit the high notes, but she also struggled a bit.
Now, her voice is so smooth and 'complete', it's incredible. I'm speechless at how much Charice has improved, which I didn't think possible since she was already great from the beginning.
