Bring back this kind of music again people!!!! Quit riot, motley crue, krokus, ac/dc, kiss, twisted sister, wasp, black n blue, poison, ratt, cinderalla. tesla, etc........... get the lip syncing studio bands out of here. you either know how to play live or go home!! Its time the record companys sign a series of bands and get this sound back on the radio. its what the kids want. read the posts. the younger generation loves the 80's music. It was about having fun and loving life!!!!
@OzzyGezzy Man thats for sure. They just got signed at the end of the 80' rock era.(of course nobody seen that coming, I mean nobody) These guys should have been a huge success.
This tune was co-written by Aerosmith/Bryan Adams/Scorpions Canadian hitmeister : Jim Vallance. I personally LOVED this song, although the album production of it didn't come out right, it was a good starting point. The whole thing was about Hollywood and how fake everything was/still is. Could have easily been on Aerosmith PUMP record.
@BennyWildSide Dude, I love the solo change at 3:03, fucking brilliant....was that you or the "other guy"...I can't remember his fuckin' name, he played with Vince Neil, that guy......
@SpikeMichaels ... that was Brent Woods on there. All the chordings and passages were Jim Vallance signatures. The tune had horns, and lots of slide guitar in it, but turned out slightly different. STILL a fun tune any way you slice it. ;-)
I wish this song would have been released as a single. I don't think it could've saved Wildside, seeing that the corporate deck was stacked against them.
They are one of a handful of bands that didn't contribute to their own demise, but rather a mere victim of bad timing and circumstance.
I always liked the message in this song. These guys seemed to me like the anti-hairband image wise, but took the hairband style musically to the next level. This song to me is totally how the business works. One band comes out that's original, and the record company tries to make 50 clones of them, and kill the whole scene.
I love that Wildside didn't try doing the whole glam thing because it was a thing of the past in 1992.
i alwas love this song
