Update - Although A73/Dreamer hasn't come back to the nest, the IWS crew has seen him in nearby trees with his parents attending to his needs. He may or may not come back to the nest again, but at least we know he is doing well.
I thank you for responding!! I will be certain to check for any new info/videos on Dreamer. I watched him Monday a.m.early (5-10 am) & *wingersizing* & walked away not realizing he fledged, not just his usual periodic *off cam* times as before. I saw Papa A40 this a.m. in the nest w/different behaviors....happy parents are w/Dreamer. How high up is this nest & no nearby branches/limbs? Thanks, I'm unfamiliar w/this area & relatively new to forum-SC nest cam. :)
@Miycah10 - There are nearby trees, etc, but landing isn't easy for a young eaglet, so it's possible he didn't land in one of them. Much easier to land on the ground....but then much harder to get elevation again from the ground. Fortunately, there are no preditors on the island.
I can't post a link with pictures of the nest tree and surrounding terraine here, so I'll send you a personal message with that link so you can get a better idea of the area.
Thank you for capturing & sharing this special/important moment in Dreamer's life....he did not return yet, has he? :(( Is this in a tree or a cliff, anyone know? T/Y! :))
@Miycah10 - Thank you for your comments. He has not returns yet, but A40 (Dad) has been back & forth to the nest several times, taking nestovers & 'stuff' from it. We assume he's taking them to Dreamer. The nest is located in a tree, which can make it a little harder to get back to at first. We're still watching for him, and you can be sure I'll post a video of his triumphant return when it happens! In the meanwhile, we know his parents are taking good care of him, wherever he is.
