I love my GW-3000 a lot too... I like the second hand and white/black color combo a little better myself. However, I do like this one quite a bit too. I like all of my G's for one reason or another... which is why I'm glad Casio makes so many, enough to please everybody. =)
This an excellent watch for sure... will serve you well, especially when flying... that's one of the reasons I bought it. For when I fly light aircraft. =)
Yes indeed, haha. All of my comments and messages go straight to my email inbox so I can keep with them all. I never mind replying to you all... I'm kind of known for that here in fact. =)
You're very welcome, it's no problem at all my friend. =)

That is a great gift and I'm sure he'll love it... and yes, I would love to know his reaction to this gift as well. Have a very Merry Christmas and God Bless you as well!
... I don't think you can go wrong getting the GW-3500 or GW-3000 for a pilot, that's my personal opinion. It depends on whether you want the digital or all analog... I happen to like the digital and analog combination best myself. =)
If you have any other specific questions about this watch, or any other then I would be more than happy to help as much as I can.
You're very welcome my friend... thank you for watching it. =)
Well I happen to fly a little myself actually... not professionally though.
I think two great watches for pilots are this one (the GW-3500) and the GW-3000... I have both and love them. Very accurate watches for sure, more accurate than most people need, but great for pilots! The Seiko Monster is also a very good watch (I reviewed it also) but I still like the G Shocks better personally.
I can get this watch "BRAND NEW", in box and such for about 160$ - but im sooo torn if its a watch for me, - how big is it? ... is it alot smaller then for example the GD100? ... is this still one of your favorits? :)
I wish they would have included a better light myself... but the lume on the hands isn't too bad, nothing like a Seiko, but not bad. The light however, that's not the greatest. Casio has always been behind in the lume and EL game though. If they were to slap some Seiko Lumabrite on those hands though... hell yeah!
EXCELLENT review, very comprehensive for such a complex piece of technology. Just wanted to let you know I ordered this shortly after watching your video, mostly for timekeeping during training and USMC OCS next year (and also because it looks so sharp). Thanks for the insight!
Congrats on getting yourself a hell of a nice watch... I think you will very much love it and it will definitely be a very durable watch for you, every one of my G Shocks have always performed well.
So you're going for Officer huh? Very nice! Thank you for serving my friend, I know I appreciate that! Stay sharp!
Hey there, awesome video, really helpful. but do you know the difference between this watch and the G-1250B-1A, the Gravity Defier range? they look almost identical but instead of "multiband" at the top it just says "world time" and doesn't have the "W" and "R" on the mode sub dial...
The difference is that the G-1250B-1A is not an atomic capable watch whereas the GW-3500B is atomic capable... probably the only difference to my knowledge.
The "Multiband" and "W" and "R" markings are signifying the atomic capabilities on the watch.
Hey X4CTO,great review! I also ordered a g-shock after watching this review..Now I own a Gw-3500BD-1aer,the orange one with the steel band.these aviator's series are all one of casio's bests..greets from Holland.
Thank you my friend, I appreciate that! Thank you for watching.
I agree they are some of the best G Shocks available... in fact they're some of the best watches available in my opinion. Enjoy your excellent G Shock my friend! =)
Well it's all positive I must say... the girls get down on their knees in front of me... the dudes bow in respect... LOL!
Really though, I've had some nice compliments on it... people asking where I got it, etc. One of my fellow pilot buddies really wants one now, and he's a Breitling guy, haha.
I love this watch and it stands out just enough to get noticed but not so much as to where it's obnoxious.
It's fairly easy to set, especially with the digital portions doing most of the work. The all analog aviator G is the one that takes some patience to set, lol.
If you run into any problems I won't mind helping at all.
Yes indeed... the color is the only difference. Well that and the the digital characters on the GW-3500BB-1ADR I found a bit more difficult to read in low light.
I have own it just a week now. It's attractive, stylish and looks sporty. I purchased it although I've already got another G-Shock (GW-9100). I wanted analogue/ digital G-shock watch instead of digital only or analogue only. I'm a forces personal so it will be tested in the field later anyway.
Thanks for the review! I'm actually deciding on this watch. I want to ask you though, how long would you estimate the glow in the dark lasts for and is the LED brighter than it looks in the video? Thanks.
Honestly I've never really paid attention to the lume glow times, I would say it glows where you can read it for at least 30 or 45 minutes after coming in from the sunlight into a dark area. When I throw a beam on it from my Fenix LD01 light for about 10 seconds, then it seems to glow pretty well for about 10 minutes or so.
The light is brighter than on camera for sure, camera lenses don't capture as much light as the human eye is capable of gathering.
With the light, the watch can easily be read in total darkness... but my only complaint is that the two digital displays are not backlit, seems to be common in the digital/analog Casios though.
As far as reading the time in low light, since the hands are bright, vivid yellow... you can pretty much read them with even a small amount of ambient lighting around. It's very legible in my opinion.
Awesome! Thanks for your replies they really help. I'm leaning on this one more because functionality and style wise it's a decent compromise between getting an $80 gw6900-1 or the much pricier EQWM1100DC-1A2. I just wish this gw3500B-1A had the steel band of the gw3000BD-1A.
Yeah I hear ya, and it's definitely an excellent watch in my opinion. I too, love the functionality of it.
I guess you could always contact Casio and see if they would sell you a metal bracelet for it since the casing is identical to the GW-3000's... I have no idea of the cost of that though.
It's a very great watch indeed... right up there with my Seiko Monster, if not even better.
No I haven't compared the 3500 and the 3000 on my channel yet, I'd like to get a 3K and do that though. Some things about the 3000 I am not crazy about though, I mean versus the 3500. I think the 3500 fixed some of the problems the 3000 model had... like only a 24 minute timer, and some of the functions took a while to get the hands moved to start using them...
I mean don't get me wrong, I think the 3000 is a great watch, and very good looking in my opinion... but I prefer the more refined features of the 3500... it also has an LED lighting system + the lume on the hands and indices... whereas the 3000 only has the lume. I am a big fan of analog/digital combo faces too, like the beautiful Breitling B-1... I want to get that watch soon. =)
All in all I love both models, and think you'd do well to have either one, I just prefer the 3500 personally.
Oh yeah... one more thing... I love how I can display 3 time zones simultaneously on the 3500, when flying or even for just keeping up with times around the world for talking to friends, etc. I will say that I do like the hands on the sub dials of the 3000 better than the ones on the 3500... but I like the 3500's main hour/minute hands a little better.
HAHA, I just thought I'd give you a little mini comparison from my points of view on the two watches.
@X4CTO Thank you for the extra advice. I have not ruled out the 3500 yet after your comments and others about the 3500 being more practical in quicker response and night viewing. Good thing about the decision is that they are both superb time pieces and I can't go wrong. A key thing that draws me to the 3000 is the 24hr sub dial. I listen to international shorwave radio and use UTC time. UTC times are communicated in 24hr time. If the 3500 was 24hr on subdial I would probably get it.
You are very right... I don't think you'd be disappointed with either honestly... I want the 3000 model myself so I definitely like them both.
I know what you mean, the 24 display is great indeed... especially when involved in weather and aviation... very useful to have it read out for you... of course you could always just set the digital UTC time on the 3500 to 24 hr mode and it would do just the same. So you could have 2 zones plus 24 hr UTC simultaneously.
"uhhhhhhhhhh passengers... WHAT IS UP??were about to ascend to 3000 motherfucking feet uhhhhhhhh"
"uhhhhhhhhhh please put your seats in an uhhhhhhhhhh upright position WOOO did you see that shit????? Fuckin bird just got sucked in the fuckin engine fuckin awesome!!!!"
I have to get a new watch, I had a really nice Fossil with a fat leather band. The average mortal doesn't know what a cluster fuck my brain can be when I don't know what time it is at all times.... yeah!
It sure could, Casio could have made it a lot bigger... take a look at the GX-56 series of G Shocks... those are the biggest... I have 3 of those too. =)
I think this one is about the perfect size... right around the size of the Mudman and such.
great review yet again brother! Your fast becoming da man on G's reviews. Man that such a cool watch, just a beautiful bit of kit. LOL cause your "Fly" oh dear brother ha. Have you looked at a G-550FB-1A3 by any chance? just wanted your opinion on it is all, again outstnding detailed review of a sweet watch brother, thank you, best wishes and take care
HAHA... well I do love the G's... always need more, I am hopefully going to get more of the Japanese only models in the future... they get all the sweet ones!
I love this 3500B... excellent watch! Great for us aviation types! More on that later! =)
As for the G-550FB-1A3, I've not actually seen that one... maybe it's a Euro or Japanese model only, but I've not actually seen it on the Japan G Shock site either, unless I missed it. Looks nice though indeed.
Damn brother, you got the coolest freakin' G Shock watches! I love my lower end G Shocks...I can only imagine the quality of the pricier ones. Take care Chris.
No G's are lower end brother... just lower priced... they're all high end as far as durability in my opinion. I own them ranging from $50 to $300 or so and they all feel great and very rugged. The higher priced ones don't feel any more durable or better honestly, at least in my opinion. A lot of the time you're paying for extra functionality or limited editions, etc... but yeah, they ALL kick ass! =)
Yes I very much agree... you're welcome, and thank you... I appreciate you watching.
I would love to see Casio come out with more different color schemes on this one, I'm hoping they will. I would love to see one with a metal bracelet (like my MTG-900) and black ion plating... and white hands and subdials! I'd definitely pay for that one. =)
@X4CTO i wanted to buy a g shock analogue but its pretty expensive where i live, had to settle with a timex racing chrono t42351 instead........this aviator would have been complete with alti and thermo/baro sensors plus gud backlight in my opinion...
Timex makes some nice watches too in my opinion. My dad only wears Timex Ironman watches for work and they last forever it seems.
I would have liked the Aviator G's to have some weather functionality also, that would have been great... maybe one day! I hope they upgrade the backlight in future models too, to include the LCD portions at least. I really like the G Shock GDF100 series for a weather watch though.
That's in the plans as well, people have been asking for that along with a knife, gun, pen, flashlight, etc. collection videos. Ahhh, there's just so many videos I want to get out... reviews, updates, tests, comparisons, more rambling, technique vids, and so on. I wish I had a really fast internet connection and I would just upload four or five a day, HAHA.
Thank you brother... it is very cool indeed... I paid for that cool though, lol.
I love the digital like functionality of the analog needles... for some reason reminds me of an Audi cockpit with a little fighter jet blood, haha. All I keep thinking is back when I was in the cockpit of an F-111 fighter. =)
Unfortunately no... I never got to take the 111 up... oh I wanted to though. I just sat in it and played around a bit... far cry from a Cessna 172 or 206, LOL. But I must admit the single prop light planes do have a certain appeal to them... except in storms, then not so much, LOL. I love the little S35 V-Tailed Bonanza's from Beechcraft... agile little things.
@X4CTO The S35 is a classic - I'm more into military airpower though. I'm sure if I ever flew, I'd be happy to fly something like that -- great airplane. My uncle flew F-111Fs for the USAF out of RAF Lakenheath in Desert Storm. When you mentioned the F-111, that caught my eye right off the bat -- I love that aircraft. It's fast as hell and a shame it's no longer in service. Damn I love the F-111. Good talking to you X4CTO. I'll be seeing you on here. Take it easy.
I agree... military fighters are kickass! I've loved Lockheed products forever... I live about 2 miles from them, Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, Texas. Some awesome technology coming out of there to say the least. I watched the trials of the F-22 and they were even playing with an F-35 JSF out there. =)
My father actually works for General Dynamics... he used to run navigation for the F-111's. Now he's doing mostly private planes though.
I agree about the F-111... very good air superiority machine indeed. Much like the good ol' F-4 Phantom and the F-14 Tomcat... shame to see them retired. Some still fly the great F-15 though... that's an extremely versatile machine. Ahhh, I love aircraft... haha... good talking to you my friend, very nice to meet you. =)
@X4CTO Man that's cool! I can't wait to see an F-35 fly. The F-22 is an amazing aircraft; definition of overkill. I've only seen one fly in a demo once - but it was great. I've seen a Luftwaffe F-4 at a show once - that's a loud fighter! I don't know if I'd go so far as to say the F-111 was a good air superiority fighter though - but it was an impressive deep strike aircraft. Crazy that the F-15 replaced it - which is a definitive air superiority aircraft. The F-15E is my current favorite. Later
The F-35's are a very sexy machine I must say... and yeah I agree on the F-22's being overkill, but hey sometimes overkill is underrated! =)
Yeah the dual jets on the F-4's are definitely attention getters, haha.
Yeah the 111's aren't so much air to air superiority, but I meant they brought us one step closer to being superior from the air... let's put it that way! =)
I'll have to put the F-15's up there amongst my favs too... impressive still to this day.
@X4CTO I'm with you on all of that, man!! Nice meeting you too - I found your channel through one of my YouTube friends or subs - someone liking a vid of yours. That's what's cool about YouTube -- but back to the subject at hand; the G Shock. I was looking at that same exact model of watch all on my own just hours before I watched your video on it -- completely coincidental; so it was really cool to see it up close and in detail. Still deciding on a G for me. Is reverse LED hard to see?
I've found many great channels and people on here since I've been here... great community we share here... I'm glad to be a part of it.
As for the reversed displays... I find that they're actually easy to read in most lighting... better than many others actually. The black around the little silver looking characters is very dark so it contrasts well. Not as easy to read as a standard digital display of course, but I can pick up the digits just fine personally. It's pretty good.
Now I think one of the best of the negative or inverted display G's is the GX-56GB. It's has the gold colored digits on a black background... very easy to see for my eyes. Then you have the excellent backlight on it that I mentioned in my recent review of it. Great watch as well.
I have reviewed at least about 10 G Shocks on my channel so far, probably more than that... and there's something I love about them all, but I'm a big fan of Casio's newer inverted displays.
@X4CTO I might've missed that if you mentioned it. Cool stuff brother. Who doesn't want to fly? No one. Those that say "no" want to, but they are scared and won't admit it
No I've not really talked a whole lot about it in videos in the past, mostly to my friends and such on here.
Thank you bro, I appreciate it.
Flying is awesome... very much a peaceful and thrilling experience. I would love to do some sky diving in the future as well, that's something I've never done. =)
Real nice review Brother you covered just about everything in detail. I see you picked up them calipers we were talking about. And that is a real nice caliper set, IT IS VERY ACCURATE. By the way you got me hooked on this GW-3500B G-Shock. I am gonna have to pull the trigger on this one and make it a pert of my collection. Thanks again for another great review..........Royal.
Yeah I bought them a couple days ago, and I actually made a video talking about them and that conversation we had about them... I should have uploaded it first I guess, but I will soon. I am happy with this caliper set so far.
Man, this GW-3500B is an excellent G Shock. I don't think you will regret getting it, it's not cheap, but it's worth every penny if you ask me. I think it's actually my favorite watch I own right now.
tthe only relativly great watch i"ve had or well put it this way im wearing it. right now is a nixon rubber re_wind and its like a nija turtle watch its in all of my latest edc vids i belive........tities.
Nixon has some kickass watches in my opinion, I just saw two Nixon watches I really wanted yesterday at Nordstrom. I almost bought one, but then I found another G Shock I had to have, lol.
LMAO! My wife is going to love this comment bro... I'm gonna point it out to her... this comment I mean, haha!
I believe 2 Live Crew said it best in a song once... "Put her ass in the buck and kill the clit, it's 15 inches long, 8 inches thick, last name Almighty, first name is Dick"... HAHA!
That's a good song for the ladies... "Dick Almighty" circa 1989, HAHA.
@X4CTO Damn that's alot of watches. I don't even have one, I'm such a loser lmao. Those are really cool though, I'd probably end up breaking it against the wall because of all those buttons. I liked that blingy one you did the other day, it was shiney. I love anything shiney, except it's hell on my A.D.D. lol.
I have the video talking about the Omega all recorded, but I am not entirely happy with it. I might still go ahead and upload it anyway though. I don't know as much about auto watches as I do about G's to be honest, but I can still ramble about them I guess, haha.
Yeah that orange aviator is sexy too... I almost got that one instead, but I really like the yellow and I don't have any yellow G's at the moment. I want to get the GW-3000 with orange or white next. I really want the one with blue and a metal strap, but I can't find that one around for a decent price. All the aviation G's are so kickass... there's not one of them I don't like honestly.
Thanks for the video, I love G-SHOCKs, very interesting piece, I wish I had money on this one, my favourite ana-digi Casio. How exactly you're connected with aviation?
Oh that sucks... I think it might be due to my computer sleeping while I was rendering the video. I'll annotate the video at that part and say there's nothing but darkness... DON'T ENTER THE DARKNESS! =)
Thank you for calling this to my attention, I appreciate it.
You're welcome, and thank you for stopping by to check it out.
I absolutely love this watch... it's not cheap, but damn it's so worth it in my opinion.
Thanks after watch I brought the same model perfect for traveling

I prefer my GW-3000-BD. There's no second hand on the 3500 and IMO the digital displays make it look cheap.

Hey X4CTO,great review! I also ordered a g-shock after watching this review..Now I own a Gw-3500BD-1aer,the orange one with the steel band.these aviator's series are all one of casio's bests..greets from Holland.

@renniesontop
Thank you my friend, I appreciate that! Thank you for watching.
I agree they are some of the best G Shocks available... in fact they're some of the best watches available in my opinion. Enjoy your excellent G Shock my friend! =)
X4CTO 3 months ago
Very nice review. Been a fan of G-Shocks for a lot of years. And that one in particular is very sweet lookin indeed.
AirborneOptimus 3 months ago
@AirborneOptimus
Thank you!
Same here... G Shocks are excellent watches.
I love this model... it's one of the more expensive ones, but worth every penny in my opinion.
X4CTO 3 months ago
What kind of feedback do you get when you wear this watch?
EMANeleVenElevEn 3 months ago
@EMANeleVenElevEn

You'll be getting yourself an excellent watch then my friend.

Thanks again. I have made my desicion lol, hopefully il have no problems setting it up but if i get stuck i may ask for your help if you dont mind
austin182p 4 months ago
You're very welcome, not a problem at all! =)
It's fairly easy to set, especially with the digital portions doing most of the work. The all analog aviator G is the one that takes some patience to set, lol.
If you run into any problems I won't mind helping at all.
X4CTO 4 months ago
Thanks for that mate, i couldnt decide which id rather have but quite like the yellow now, plus the yellow is £75 cheaper too!
Great review!
austin182p 4 months ago
You're welcome, not a problem at all!
Yeah I liked the yellow the best of all of them too... the white is nice too, but the yellow just "pops" more on the wrist in my opinion.
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. =)

Excellent review! Answered a bunch of questions that I could not figure out from any other source. Thanks for taking the time!

Whats the difference etween this and the GW-3500BB-1ADR, is it simply the colour?
austin182p 4 months ago
Yes indeed... the color is the only difference. Well that and the the digital characters on the GW-3500BB-1ADR I found a bit more difficult to read in low light.
X4CTO 4 months ago
i think ill get one. thanks
martinkkent1 4 months ago
You're welcome... I think you will like it if you get one, it's a great watch!
X4CTO 4 months ago
I have own it just a week now. It's attractive, stylish and looks sporty. I purchased it although I've already got another G-Shock (GW-9100). I wanted analogue/ digital G-shock watch instead of digital only or analogue only. I'm a forces personal so it will be tested in the field later anyway.
khalingsolti 4 months ago
I agree, very attractive indeed.
I'd be interested to know after awhile how it fares in the field... I'm sure it will do great since it's a G Shock though! =)
X4CTO 4 months ago
Thanks for the review! I'm actually deciding on this watch. I want to ask you though, how long would you estimate the glow in the dark lasts for and is the LED brighter than it looks in the video? Thanks.
bmariano 5 months ago
You're welcome, thank you for watching.
X4CTO 5 months ago
With the light, the watch can easily be read in total darkness... but my only complaint is that the two digital displays are not backlit, seems to be common in the digital/analog Casios though.
As far as reading the time in low light, since the hands are bright, vivid yellow... you can pretty much read them with even a small amount of ambient lighting around. It's very legible in my opinion.
X4CTO 5 months ago
By the way, if you're looking for an analog watch with excellent lume on the hands... then I would suggest something from Seiko or Orient.
You should see the luminescent hands on my Seiko Monster and titanium chronograph, I have videos on these as well.
Also, the lume on my Omega Seamaster is pretty nice.
X4CTO 5 months ago
@X4CTO
I'll check out your other videos too!
bmariano 5 months ago
You're welcome, not a problem at all.
Yeah I hear ya, and it's definitely an excellent watch in my opinion. I too, love the functionality of it.
I guess you could always contact Casio and see if they would sell you a metal bracelet for it since the casing is identical to the GW-3000's... I have no idea of the cost of that though.
I appreciate it my friend, thank you.

Thank you my friend... I appreciate you stopping by to watch! =)
X4CTO 5 months ago
@X4CTO I just tried that watch today, and I was shocked at how small was the watch and the digital display :s
HTSpecOps 5 months ago
I think it's a good size... about like the Mudman to me.
It's seems like it's bigger in pictures and videos, but it's not nearly as big as some of the other G's.
X4CTO 5 months ago
Enjoyed the review. Great watch. I am thinking about getting the 3000 all anolog version. Have you compared the 3500 and the 300?
snowpuppy77 6 months ago
Thank you, I appreciate you watching it.
X4CTO 6 months ago
I mean don't get me wrong, I think the 3000 is a great watch, and very good looking in my opinion... but I prefer the more refined features of the 3500... it also has an LED lighting system + the lume on the hands and indices... whereas the 3000 only has the lume. I am a big fan of analog/digital combo faces too, like the beautiful Breitling B-1... I want to get that watch soon. =)
All in all I love both models, and think you'd do well to have either one, I just prefer the 3500 personally.
X4CTO 6 months ago
Oh yeah... one more thing...
Once again, both are great timepieces!
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO Thank you for the extra advice. I have not ruled out the 3500 yet after your comments and others about the 3500 being more practical in quicker response and night viewing. Good thing about the decision is that they are both superb time pieces and I can't go wrong. A key thing that draws me to the 3000 is the 24hr sub dial. I listen to international shorwave radio and use UTC time. UTC times are communicated in 24hr time. If the 3500 was 24hr on subdial I would probably get it.
snowpuppy77 6 months ago
You're welcome, glad to do it! =)
So you could have 2 zones plus 24 hr UTC simultaneously.

great review yet again brother!
TheDishD 6 months ago
Thank you much my friend! =)
HAHA... well I do love the G's... always need more, I am hopefully going to get more of the Japanese only models in the future... they get all the sweet ones!
X4CTO 6 months ago
I appreciate you taking the time to watch bro, always.
Thank you so much.
Best wishes to you as well... stay sharp!
X4CTO 6 months ago
Damn brother, you got the coolest freakin' G Shock watches! I love my lower end G Shocks...I can only imagine the quality of the pricier ones. Take care Chris.
ArmyStinger150 6 months ago
HAHA, thank you bro!
You take care too my friend.
X4CTO 6 months ago
beautiful and purpose built watch...........thx x4cto for the detailing
maniaque007 6 months ago
Yes I very much agree... you're welcome, and thank you... I appreciate you watching.
I would love to see Casio come out with more different color schemes on this one, I'm hoping they will. I would love to see one with a metal bracelet (like my MTG-900) and black ion plating... and white hands and subdials! I'd definitely pay for that one. =)
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO i wanted to buy a g shock analogue but its pretty expensive where i live, had to settle with a timex racing chrono t42351 instead........this aviator would have been complete with alti and thermo/baro sensors plus gud backlight in my opinion...
maniaque007 6 months ago
Timex makes some nice watches too in my opinion. My dad only wears Timex Ironman watches for work and they last forever it seems.
I would have liked the Aviator G's to have some weather functionality also, that would have been great... maybe one day! I hope they upgrade the backlight in future models too, to include the LCD portions at least. I really like the G Shock GDF100 series for a weather watch though.
X4CTO 6 months ago
you should do a g-shock/watch collection video
SNAFU111999 6 months ago
That's in the plans as well, people have been asking for that along with a knife, gun, pen, flashlight, etc. collection videos. Ahhh, there's just so many videos I want to get out... reviews, updates, tests, comparisons, more rambling, technique vids, and so on. I wish I had a really fast internet connection and I would just upload four or five a day, HAHA.
X4CTO 6 months ago
cool watch... love the power charge meter operation. Great review, as always
MrJmfitch 6 months ago
Thank you brother... it is very cool indeed... I paid for that cool though, lol.
I love the digital like functionality of the analog needles... for some reason reminds me of an Audi cockpit with a little fighter jet blood, haha. All I keep thinking is back when I was in the cockpit of an F-111 fighter. =)
I appreciate you watching bro, thanks again!
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO You flew 111s?
TheSoundBarrier 6 months ago
Unfortunately no... I never got to take the 111 up... oh I wanted to though. I just sat in it and played around a bit... far cry from a Cessna 172 or 206, LOL. But I must admit the single prop light planes do have a certain appeal to them... except in storms, then not so much, LOL. I love the little S35 V-Tailed Bonanza's from Beechcraft... agile little things.
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO The S35 is a classic - I'm more into military airpower though. I'm sure if I ever flew, I'd be happy to fly something like that -- great airplane. My uncle flew F-111Fs for the USAF out of RAF Lakenheath in Desert Storm. When you mentioned the F-111, that caught my eye right off the bat -- I love that aircraft. It's fast as hell and a shame it's no longer in service. Damn I love the F-111. Good talking to you X4CTO. I'll be seeing you on here. Take it easy.
TheSoundBarrier 6 months ago
I agree... military fighters are kickass!
X4CTO 6 months ago
I agree about the F-111... very good air superiority machine indeed. Much like the good ol' F-4 Phantom and the F-14 Tomcat... shame to see them retired. Some still fly the great F-15 though... that's an extremely versatile machine. Ahhh, I love aircraft... haha... good talking to you my friend, very nice to meet you. =)
I'll see you around... talk to you later.
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO Man that's cool! I can't wait to see an F-35 fly. The F-22 is an amazing aircraft; definition of overkill. I've only seen one fly in a demo once - but it was great. I've seen a Luftwaffe F-4 at a show once - that's a loud fighter! I don't know if I'd go so far as to say the F-111 was a good air superiority fighter though - but it was an impressive deep strike aircraft. Crazy that the F-15 replaced it - which is a definitive air superiority aircraft. The F-15E is my current favorite. Later
TheSoundBarrier 6 months ago
The F-35's are a very sexy machine I must say... and yeah I agree on the F-22's being overkill, but hey sometimes overkill is underrated! =)
Yeah the dual jets on the F-4's are definitely attention getters, haha.
Yeah the 111's aren't so much air to air superiority, but I meant they brought us one step closer to being superior from the air... let's put it that way! =)
I'll have to put the F-15's up there amongst my favs too... impressive still to this day.
Later bro.
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO I'm with you on all of that, man!! Nice meeting you too - I found your channel through one of my YouTube friends or subs - someone liking a vid of yours. That's what's cool about YouTube -- but back to the subject at hand; the G Shock. I was looking at that same exact model of watch all on my own just hours before I watched your video on it -- completely coincidental; so it was really cool to see it up close and in detail. Still deciding on a G for me. Is reverse LED hard to see?
TheSoundBarrier 6 months ago
I've found many great channels and people on here since I've been here... great community we share here... I'm glad to be a part of it.
As for the reversed displays... I find that they're actually easy to read in most lighting... better than many others actually. The black around the little silver looking characters is very dark so it contrasts well. Not as easy to read as a standard digital display of course, but I can pick up the digits just fine personally. It's pretty good.
X4CTO 6 months ago
Now I think one of the best of the negative or inverted display G's is the GX-56GB. It's has the gold colored digits on a black background... very easy to see for my eyes. Then you have the excellent backlight on it that I mentioned in my recent review of it. Great watch as well.
I have reviewed at least about 10 G Shocks on my channel so far, probably more than that... and there's something I love about them all, but I'm a big fan of Casio's newer inverted displays.
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO The gold digits on that black background look sharp. I'll be scoping out your videos man. Thanks for all the replies. See ya.
TheSoundBarrier 6 months ago
Agreed!
Well I appreciate that my friend.
No problem at all, I love talking to you all here... I try my best to get to each and every comment. =)

@X4CTO f111!!!!??? how the heck did you swing that? You prior airforce or something?
MrJmfitch 6 months ago
No, not AF... I actually got a chance to get in one along time ago when I went to work with my dad... he works for General Dynamics now though.
I really would have loved to go up in that F-111... much more exciting than a Beechcraft I would imagine, LOL.
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO I might've missed that if you mentioned it. Cool stuff brother. Who doesn't want to fly? No one. Those that say "no" want to, but they are scared and won't admit it
MrJmfitch 6 months ago

That's a good song for the ladies... "Dick Almighty" circa 1989, HAHA.

Nice watch. How many watches do you actually own I wonder lol.
whimberly1 6 months ago
Probably around 35 or so... not all G Shocks of course, but most of them are either G Shocks or Seikos. I really am a fan of Japanese watches! =)
Thank you, I appreciate it... I absolutely love this watch to death! =)
X4CTO 6 months ago
@X4CTO Damn that's alot of watches. I don't even have one, I'm such a loser lmao. Those are really cool though, I'd probably end up breaking it against the wall because of all those buttons. I liked that blingy one you did the other day, it was shiney. I love anything shiney, except it's hell on my A.D.D. lol.
whimberly1 6 months ago
LOL... yes indeed... it's somewhat of an addiction I would say! =)
Well if you get a G Shock then you couldn't break it against the wall and that would only frustrate you more, lol.
My sister has several nice G Shocks as well, they're awesome watches and very tough!
They have the ones with shiny gold like I showed the other day, and some with shiny silver, bright colors... basically something for everyone!

deepee0979 6 months ago
Thank you for watching! =)
I have the video talking about the Omega all recorded, but I am not entirely happy with it. I might still go ahead and upload it anyway though. I don't know as much about auto watches as I do about G's to be honest, but I can still ramble about them I guess, haha.

awesome watch i have the GW3000B the Orange Analog One Love It!
swiss86watches 6 months ago
Thank you my friend... I appreciate it!
X4CTO 6 months ago
There is couple minutes of blackness at the end.
Thanks for the video, I love G-SHOCKs, very interesting piece, I wish I had money on this one, my favourite ana-digi Casio. How exactly you're connected with aviation?
therealJQB321 6 months ago
Oh that sucks... I think it might be due to my computer sleeping while I was rendering the video. I'll annotate the video at that part and say there's nothing but darkness... DON'T ENTER THE DARKNESS! =)
Thank you for calling this to my attention, I appreciate it.
You're welcome, and thank you for stopping by to check it out.
I absolutely love this watch... it's not cheap, but damn it's so worth it in my opinion.
X4CTO 6 months ago
Well I'll probably make a video about aviation related stuff in the future... but let's just say, I'm pretty fly for a white guy, haha!
I learned how to fly light planes... single engine, propeller variety... think Cessna 172 type.
