Wow, Space Carnivora you clearly stated "...not to say its not fun, doesn't take skill and in the end interesting" you said it doesn't take skill. Your not only a asshole and a liar, but a complete idiot.

how about making something beautiful, its too easy to make something look wretched ugly and disgusting, not to say its not fun, doesn't take skill and in the end interesting, but its important to have contrast. MAKE A HOT classy CHICK or a beautiful animal.
how could you say it doesn't take skill to make a creature? The level of detail on these is incredible and its rude to say this didn't take any skill.

its best to read comments with attention, I never said it doesnt take skill. I said 'NOT to say its not fun, doesnt take skill and in the end interesting' You missed my point
You guys have an unique style and sence for proportion.. Looking at your sculpts always give me the urge to go back to my cg sculpts ;) The bros remind me of frazetta , bisley, Terada, but with a different medium... your Venom/spidey ( not visible here) has an amazing energy! thanks for sharing and being an inspiration to us all, cheers!
These are beautiful sculptures. I love the flow and raw power behind each and every sculpt that Brandon and Jarrod do. Top notch work fellas and I look forward to seeing more
Nice work boys. I did something very similar, I had a lazy suzan that had a screw holding everything together in the middle, took a drill and turned it very slowly to turn the lazy suzan. Very cheezy but it do the trick. Cool to see your work.
Great to see the Shifflet Bros posting work in progress. Not enough of that out there for artists to see. Working with them is pretty great. Hope to do it again in the not too distant future. They come highly recommended in our book.
The Shifletts are not only talented and fun guys to know, they also smell very nice. Even Brandon.
The Shifletts sculpts have always impressed me and have inspired me to do better work. I remember when someone first sent me thier website years ago and my stomach did that turning thing when you see something really really cool.
Terrific pieces Jarrod and Brandon put out. They've inspired me ever since I first began sculpting myself. I would be proud to have any of their originals in my studio. Until now i wasn't sure the scale of thier works...thanks for posting this up guys. Fabulous work...keep it up!
The Shifletts are great sculptors in most areas, however it would be nice to see their work more polished. Details are rough, faces look like a beginners effort, and all of their work looks like they used a body building magazine for reference. It would be nice to see them up their efforts and come into this century. There is serious potential here.

what kind of clay do you recommend for a beginner in sculpting of this size?
i'd preffer something highly "re-sculptable" that will allow lots of mistakes, since i'm a noob ^^
thx

Thank you all for the kind words. Especially you Lorne!
All of these pieces are works in progress, save the "Chloe: Avaitor for Hire" sculpt. All the others are completely and utterly unfinished.
Thanks again.
