I'm not an Albert Brooks fan, but this is the funniest scene in any Albert Brooks film. It looks like Brooks and Gary Marshall put this great scene together. I would love to have seen how this scene and the dialogue were put together.

Gary (and Penny) Marshall are both half Italian and from The Bronx. Their father changed their last name from Masciarelli before they were born. Also, they were raised protestant, as their mother was of Scots-English descent.
