  • @araregoodguy and the reason it was red flagged was because of all the debris on the track

  • there goes a couple 100,000 dallars. the nice thing about having lots of sponsors is you can drive fast because you won't have to worry about buying a new car from crashing. they can just give you a new one as long as you don't crash to often... :)

  • Thumbs up if you think the guy in the #8 car is an Ass for coming in way too hot and forcing a pass on Newey, making contact and thereby taking him out of the race.

  • That wheel was going to town at 1:10

  • The birds in the background at 0:20 .... :D

  • 0:30 LMAO he gets out from the wrong side!

  • @TheEgg185 ...It's in England. Right side Drive.

  • @ArmadeusXxC maybe they should call it "wrong side drive" lol

  • @TheEgg185 the ginette have the wheel on this site :)

  • sit in the car and have the race red flagged when there was nothing wrong. Self important big shot shouldn't have been racing.

  • @araregoodguy

You ever been T-boned at a high rate of speed?

You weren't in the car, you have no idea whether there was anything wrong or not. He could have suffered a mild concussion from the force of the impact and been too disoriented to get out.

And he has infinitely more right to be racing than you do. How many Constructor's Championships have you won? Hmm? How many F1 cars have you designed?

    Thought so.

  • And the pace car is a G40 lol

  • Ginetta G50 pretty much a crashfest series

  • come on adrian, you CAN design a racecar but NOT drive a racecar :\

  • I wouldn't want to pay for it!

  • pure alston martin

  • Why didn't he just re-wind and press square at a point before the crash?

  • @kerplunk46 He already used them all up :P

  • when the driver sits far behind, close to the rear wheels on a typical mid-front engine car...it sure would be painful to be hit on the rear wheels

  • /watch?v=NYH63PW13ns for onboard of the crash.

  • you lot don't know anything about racing, this WAS a big accident, nascar is different coz the energy in end over end crashes get's dispersed, this wld have been a high energy crash for both drivers, and it was the driver behind newey who was at fault for braking to late

  • @aggrayjnr - Rubbish, Newey swung back into the track into the path of the oncoming car. It's what you call a "racing incident" - neither driver is 100% to blame, neither driver is blame free.

  • Having watched the on-board footage, I'm changing my mind: Hughes was unsighted & basically didn't have time to decide where to go before he crashed. So, mostly Newey's fault, then.

  • are you kidding me?! watch fucking nascar then ull see some real crashes none of this pansy shit...

  • lol... big crash...OMG

    ONLY IN YOU MIND MAN!!!!

  • Looks to be entirely Newey's fault, no wonder he stayed in his car.

  • @Jaytheredneck1 Nascar sucks!

  • If you guys think that was a big crash then check out a nascar race on any given sunday.

  • @Jaytheredneck1 nascar has no point u just drive around in circles

  • @rish134 The same is said for any circuit racing, that is why it is called a circuit track. This racing just happens to take the most indirect route possible to get to the same place they started.

  • @Jaytheredneck1 yes but in circuit racing there is differnt turns not only one type of turn

  • That was a big crash for this class I spose. They are made to break for safety reasons. Check out 'Crazy Finns Crashing'. They are "REAL" big crashes!!!

No nosecariamiente implica "engranar" REVERSA.

  • It's a very bad mistake from Newey.. He was pushed off the track and should stay there. Unfortunately he is not fast enough, not take control the car and returned to track. In this way he was created a danger to other drivers.

  • @akaEmzi You right akaEmzi. He should have remained off the track once he was outside. The re-entry was not the right decision, he should have turned the steering wheel to the other side, to avoid be in the middle of traffic. Many ideas, few reflections.

  • @pablocamarotte Slicks + grass = no direction changes

  • @AdamRW240 Hi Adam. Ok slick + grass = no direction. But he doesn't move stearing wheel. I thing that if he was awake and conciente, must try to avoid get into track again. As a professional dirver do. Regards.

  • Dud awsome and welp awsome

  • @Deznts how is he a moron? It wasn't his fault he crashed, the pleb behind him caused the accident. Also, I'd like to see you in the lead of a race and stay there in the Ginetta G50 class. Idiot.

  • @alders94

It looks like the front wheels are locked as he moves backwards to me. That would indicate that he had his foot hard on the brake it was the momentum of the car which dragged it backwards against the brakes. I imagine he was a bit winded as well which wouldn't have helped. I think it was more to do with the camber / elevation of the track at that point rather than any fault of Mr. Newey. Just a racing incident. The main thing is he's okay.

  • not very big

  • damn. good thing he missed Adrian's driver side door.

  • zzzzzzzzz......

  • To you all morons, criticising he races.

He races because he likes it. Full stop.

The more money you've got the more horsepower you can race. It´s really that simple.

He´s more than a capable driver.

I don´t konow what a proffesional racing driver is, since most (for instance) GP2 or FIAGT drivers don´t make a living out of it.

  • HI. Do you mind if I use this video on my website and youtube channel?

  • @Grandprixcenter2010 yes i do ^_^

  • Hi. Do you mind if I use this video on my website and youtube channel?

  • man, he gets to design race winning cars and race cars? im jealous.

  • dissapointed with the commentator, only cares about one driver and forgets another. glad both driver safe.

  • @asww100q thumb up if u think asww100q is a spammer >:(

  • xmatt16 mclaren do liek this hehe

  • Adrian is ok bit of a headache...Looked better than the poor chap in the next bed in A & E

  • is newey a regular to this series now>?

  • Awful commentary, didn't mention Adrian's condition and with the medical car pulled across the entire track, an ambulance on the side and technicians working on the car they say "looks like everyone got out the cars ok".

    Terrible.

  • i thought the crash was worse than this! i'm sooo glad that adrian is okay! that looked like a hard impact! :S

  • Terrible commentating. But at least Tony is ok...

  • He is only locked up a nano second before he is t boned. Whilst the incident wasn't his fault he could of done more to keep it from coming back onto the track. Irony of him putting draper in hospital in race 1 with big whiplash. Wouldn't of been pay back mind, not Juliens style.

  • It appears that him rolling back into the field is a bad move, but if you notice, he's full on the brakes as he's going backwards, which is what you're suppose to do in a spin. Clutch and brakes, that's what you do when you spin, and it appears he did just that. You can tell because he came to a quick stop less than halfway across the track. Had he not been full on the brakes, he would've gone further across the track before he was tboned. Maybe he could have turned the other way to try to rol

  • McClaren f1 team likes this video :)

naa im joking but it good to see he okay :)

  • The commentators seemed to either forget adrian or didn't care about him

  • @madmonkeymagik I was thinking that too!!

  • Love how people are saying Newey should have done this, should have done that.

Earth to idiots - he isn't a professional racing driver, and neither are you.

  • @griffin911

Racer to Earth idiot - the fact that he isn't as professional a racing driver as he should be doesn't serve your point.

Clearly you don't race, but for those who do, educated comment on Newey's race-craft is interesting.

To the experienced, it is useful to note the flaws in his sub-standard driving. The skilful, fit and intelligent racer will have better and more appropriate reactions. Newey's inadequate braking force and incorrect steering inputs exacerbated this accident.

  • @NodvickToo

I'm just glad he's okay, because we need his incredible genius in Formula One for as long as possible.

We don't particularly need this monumentally important figurehead of motorsport endangering his life and the lives of others on the race track.

He should cut down on the racing, and sacrifice a bit of fun for the sake of his art.

  • @NodvickToo what do you race?

  • @griffin911 So why is he allowed on the track then? Surely a race with these caliber cars should be driven by professional racers only..

  • @griffin911 Hey Mr. Smartpants, Newey is not new behind the wheel of a race car, but he likes very much to spin...

He drove the 24 hrs du Mans, so...

  • @griffin911 precisely!! they arent playing PS3!

  • When I heard the news, I assumed a very bad crash. Bit disappointed.

btw what was Newey doing by keeping the steering wheel locked to the left? By doing that, he steered back INTO the track when he regained grip! Should have straightened up and considered slamming onto the brakes.

  • @gp4nut No.1 How can you say that you are a bit disappointed, when the crash was bad enough to have Adrian end up in hospital? Have you ever been in any sort of impact before? also the full brunt was on the drivers side, and there is still alot of force involved. He would have been turning left to control the slide. And the brakes were on when he rejoined the track. Look at the front wheels. The engine weight/momentum, and locked wheels are what caused the last spin straight on the racing line

  • @grandmasterj5 My bad. Not drivers side, but the rest of what I said was there :D

  • @grandmasterj5 didn't know he went to hospital. Seen bigger impacts and it was non-driver side too.

I still find that a funny spin. You should not roll back into the track like that. See the video, he rolled back into the track, he was out of the spin. As soon as he came out of the spin, he should have straightened up.

Never seen a driver roll it back onto the track like that. Maybe he should stick to designing rather than driving. Can't blame him for wanting the fun of the race though.

  • bet he wished he stayed at f1

  • really lucky it wasnt the drivers side
