I've been a huge fan of Marianas Trench from Fix Me. They're great songwriters and talented musicians, but I feel as though Ever After was terribly overproduced. The actual instrumentals have been all but left at the door for synthesized beats and backing sounds. Why does this sound like it could easily be a Jason Derulo song? Musically, this album doesn't compare to the first two at all. They should have kept the instruments at the forefront and not shifted to this puffed-up glam pop sound

@Glasstoaster123 I thought that too.... but the fact that he can actually sing, and sing amazingly just counter balances the whole poppy, over produced instrumentals to be honest.... If it weren't for the bands actual singing ability and talent I would hate his album.... But I don't, I like it .... I just don't think it is as good as the previous, but this is the best pop music I've ever heard lol

@Laydback5 Yeah man I can pretty much agree with that actually. Josh is an unbelievable singer; they can all sing pretty well. I think that the songwriting itself is definitely still there. I just think it would be even better if they had kept it a little more organic haha
