AH Katie O'Connor!!! A definite crush if you were a teenager back then as I was!!! Koz Zone every Saturday Night after Headbangers Ball (or was it before on MTV?) One of the many reasons why I loved growing up in Chicago!!!
I helped shoot that balcony "O'Connor can" video in 1986. That's when Katie O'Connor (the actress with the same name) did those and Lincoln carpeting commercilas for Rocklin Irving advertising.
By this time it was too late! Japanese car companies already had equal American car reliability and even surpassed it! The Japanese had the edge for the first time! And American companies didn't do anything solid to compete!
It probably doesn't have a name. It's probably just something that was made specifically for the commercial by a music artist who works on music for commercials.
That is not the real Katie O'Connor. She was too young to do the commercial back then, so they used someone much older, because I think she is around my age or a year older? She would be either 33 or 34 today, I think
The Crown Vic in the commercial looks just like the '87 I used to have back in the mid 90s. Those were the days-in 1987 I was 15 dreamin about a driver's license and a new LTD!
If anyone can O'CONNOR CAN Damn I havent seen an ad from them in ages still remember them. I remember when they had the leporchan that was around the same time they sponsered The Koz Zone on Saturday nights yep horror movies and then eventually The Three Stooges
i have been thinking about this commercial for about 2 years when that jingle popped in my head, thx for posting, there is nothing like tv commercials in chicago.

@StoneCold75 What pants suit? She's wearing a skirt. Joke would have been funny if she was actually wearing a pants suit.

@StoneCold75 Don't mention it. I don't get this joke either. What does a lawyer have to do with pants suits?

It's amazing that by now all of these cars are either recycled for parts and are now apart of new cars, in the junkyard or about to go there.

Whoever she is-I'm in love with her!

This is the wife of the owner (Bob O'Connor?) and the mother of the Katie that appeared in later ads. She disappeared from TV after her divorce.

Does anybody remember a billboard for O'Connor at 115th and the Tri State? When I was young, I loved looking at that. When did they take it down?
