The show is definitely more fun with River in it! Her character is the prefect match for the Doctor (not just the relationship, but their personalities too). The madman with a box, and the psychopath with a gun. Perfect!
actually what happens on the beach must had created a paradox... because we saw river going into that suit while the older river stands on the beach! 2 river's from a diffrent time flow.....paradox?
@daslicar no, it's ok to have to of the same person in same time stream. evidence by the episodes The Big Bang, The Girl Who Waited. And the 3 shorts Time Crash, Time, and Space

The paradox there only happened when Rose interfered with her own history when she saved her father. In "The Girl Who Waited" the paradox was because they were going to interfere with Young!Amy being trapped in Two Streams which would negate Old!Amy's existence. It's not about there being two (or more) of them.
