True, when there is no clear evidence (and when viewers know for sure Casey didn't deal the drugs), we don't know who is really behind all of this. That's what Margo is doing. The thing about this show and all US soaps it seems is how f-ing redundant and repetitious they are. They spend 2 or more shows repeating the same lines going over and over again.
In my book that actually makes her a great mom. I mean, if you think you're doing your kid a favor by allowing them to be engaged in illegal activities without consequences you are sadly mistaken. As a parent it is your job to help your child be all that he or she can be, and to live rich and meaningful lives that makes them happy. And if they're doing drugs, or is selling drugs, you can't close your eyes - you've got to step in and do what you can to help, even if that means prisontime.
I understand what you are saying... But my point is a different one. When you're son tells you numerous times that he's not into drugs; when you've never seen him taking drugs; when all his friends say he's definitevely neither a drug addict nor a dealer; and when he continues to beg you to believe you, then I think a mother should question the evidence and dig a little bit deeper. Can you imagine how devastating it must be for Casey that his own mom doesn't trust him?
Of course I can... It is a heartbreaking situation to be in as a kid, and as a parent you would definitely feel terrible if it turned out that your child wasn't lying about the drugs. But I think you'd hate yourself even more if you had decided to do nothing and it turned out that you were right about the situation.
I guess that's the thing as a parent - sometimes you have to say "I can live with the fact that you hate me, but I couldn't have lived with myself if I hadn't tried to help you"
